My NY strip was amazing, too bad I forgot my left over to go box on the table ☹
Was super tasty and great service .
Food was incredible and the service was amazing! Definitely making this my anniversary spot.
It was amazing!
Staff is outstanding. Food is wonderful. Great drinks.
Was surprised that none of the servers or workers were wearing masks. Totally disappointing based on all the stuff going around for Covid-19. It was almost like they did not care about the customers safety or even their employees! Very disappointing for a high-end restaurant to have such a lack of self-awareness.
oh my gosh i cant wait to go back it was amazing
Given the COVID-19 guidelines, we were surprised that none of the workers were wearing masks. No sanitizer in sight, three of the waitstaff interacted with us, none wore gloves. I hope that none of them were COVID-19 positive or carriers. The food was good and our server David was great. However We were uncomfortable because of above and are afraid to go back!
Thank you so much for dining with. Please know we have sanitizer at our front door & in the hallway approaching the restaurant, also sanitizer at all elevators. Our serving team all wear gloves when setting tables & when removing extra place settings & constantly washing their hands. Safe distancing maintained. All have masks, many guests prefer they not wear them, we are happy to accommodate any guests that prefers a mas be worn. Our culinary team are all in gloves and masks at all times.
We were celebrating our 44th Anniversary. Our service was very nice, but wish she had let us know we were getting the cream brûlée free for dessert, as we wouldn’t have ordered the ice cream dessert. Nice of Malio’s to do that , but let your guests know it’s coming and let them decide if they also want to order a dessert. We tried to take the cream brûlée home for the next day , but it looked terrible, so we ended up throwing it out. Our meal was delicious though!!
Fantastic food and service. A little pricy
Overall it was a good experience. The food was wonderful except for the creme brulee which was watery and tasted like liquid sugar. This possibly was a one-time mistake! The Australian rack of lamb was amazing as was the lobster mashed potatoes and jalapeno corn. The servers were friendly and made us feel welcome. The lighting in the room we were in was very dim which was the only downside.
The food, the drinks, the service, the ambiance we're all very very good. But, it was extremely disappointing that they had decided that it was not necessary for their employees to wear any mask or gloves when serving their tables.
We always love Malio's. This is the most relaxed and real 5 star restaurant in Tampa.
Truly the best steak I have ever eaten. We had an exceptional bottle of wine, and paid the price for it. You do get what you pay for here.
Also, It was the best blue cheese on a salad I have ever had. Quality was simply exceptional.
Service top notch as well. We really felt special for my husband's birthday celebration. Free FABULOUS dessert.
It was a waste of money! will never go back there again.
Night on the town with the family!
Our over all experience was amazing, we had a great server who also happened to be the bartender. He was observant and attentive. The food was out of this world. I would say a 10/10 experience.
Showed up 15 minutes before they closed but they were still happy to serve us. Our server was very friendly and welcoming. My boyfriend and I split the tuna steak (it came with 2 big pieces) the asparagus and potatoes malios (delicious and surprisingly large portions) and crab cakes as a starter (also fabulous-the lemon aoli really gives it that little extra something). Considering the amount of food and quality of food you receive it's a fantastic value. You also get a beautiful view of the water if you sit outside.
Service was good, seemed a little slow most likely due to just reopening and determining staff vs guest ratio.
Everything was perfect except a loud party at the bar. If you want to guarantee quiet get a table on the opposite side of the Resturant. Bar can be annoying if you want some peace.
So very good! Would recommend to anyone who wants a nice piece of meat. Ambiance is nice although it can be a little loud. Great place to eat. Expect to spend around $100 a person for a good meal.
Great food. Great service. Was there on a Friday. The noise level was significant Perhaps it was due to end of work week festivities.
We were in Tampa for a business trip and were pointed to Malio's as a nearby steakhouse. We used the restaurant as a business dinner and it was wonderful. Steaks were cooked perfectly and our sides were amazing. They have the best Gouda Macaroni and Cheese I've ever had. Price wise, it's what you would expect from an upscale restaurant. Our waiter was on top of refilling drinks and checking in with us. I would definitely recommend!
Meh. Ok, but not worth the premium you pay for the location or name. Really loud. Service was good.
Slow service food was great but for a 5 star establishment service was way to
Very nice place, expensive compared to other similar options in the region.
Food was pretty good. Our table of six had filets, lobsters and a seafood dish. Several appetizers good also.
All good. Drink service was a bit slow but not bad by any means.
Would return. I just wish ambiance was a little nicer.
Delicious food and superb service. The servers and hosts were really attentive and friendly. I celebrated my anniversary and it was a truly enjoyable experience.
This is a good place for a decent steak and Italian dishes. The service was great. Make sure to try the Lobster Escargot.
AC too cold as per usual.
Food good and portions small which is fabulous!!
awesome meal/ service. steaks really small for the money but delicious!
Highly over rated for the price point, really disappointed considering most other ratings were good. Went there for our birthdays and barely received any recognition of it, service was not any better than a chain from the initial interaction with the hostess to the servers. Prime ribeye steak was dry and lacked flavor. Sides were standard, not anything to write about. Crab cakes and dessert were the saving grace. Won't likely return and will be sure to spread the word about our experience.
It was my boyfriend’s birthday and our server Janelle was amazing!!! You must ask for her if you go. Food was great and the service was even better.
Too noisy and no clear exit path out of restaurant
This is one of downtown Tampa’s hidden gems. Besides the wonderful bar menu (in the bar) the overall ambience and elegance is hard to match. And the food is consistently excellent, as I might add are the cocktails. The pours are generous and the liquor is top shelf. The venue is a good match as it’s downtown and in an intriguing space. The building is a work of architectural art, full of geometry and quirky symbolism. Oh, I’ll be back!
Was okay, not what I was expecting but it was fine.
Excellent experience, food quality was great as always, service attentive but not intrusive and super quick. Always can rely on Malio’s!
Not a great place for lunch. Atmosphere is not inviting. Service was mediocre because restaurant was understaffed. Calamari appetizer was good but too expensive. Filet sandwich was overdone so just OK. Pasta primavera dish was unexciting. Looked like I made it myself with canned vegetables. Would not go back. Not a good value.
Was in town for a father and son sports weekend. The dinner was the perfect ending to a perfect day
I was in Tampa for 5 nights with my wife to see my son in the Air Force. I took him out every night to dinner and this was one of our stops based on reviews and we went to the hockey game that afternoon. For Dinner we ordered Calamari, tuna tartare, a 10oz filet ordered medium, a 16oz sirloin ordered medium, a veal chop(never asked how we wanted it cooked). We also ordered fries and sautéed broccoli to share as sides. Calamari was mostly peppers and fair at best when you did find some. Tuna was not seasoned at all, Just chopped AHI on a plate. The filet was rare, after my son cut into it. They took it back and at my dismay came back with an over done piece of meat that had just been recooked. A $50 piece of meat and you destroy it. Come on people cook a new one. I expect more. The Veal chop was undercooked as well as very a very fatty piece of meat. Someone in the meat department is lazy. The fries were soggy, and not a shareable portion. The first order of broccoli was steamed, the second was correct but by then, we were all done. If you feel like throwing money down the toilet, please donate it to a shelter before going here. It will be better used. Also I have reached out to ownership about my experience and have heard crickets.
