   We had an incredible experience at Malio’s last night. We sat inside near a window and it felt like such a comfortable, homey experience. It was as if we were eating at a family’s member’s house and that family member was a Michelin Chef. The food was impeccable. We had a spinach salad, the Tomahawk Ribeye (highly recommend), broccoli, mashed potatoes and mushrooms. One of our guests had a filet and she loved it. We all had dessert (highly recommend the bananas foster). We were supposed to meet a friend for his birthday, but he passed away before we got to the reservation. But, we celebrated him in the best way possible and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. This family experience far surpasses any commercial kitchen or restaurant.

   The escargot and crab cakes were excellent as well as the steaks and veal chop. Our servers were always attentive but not intrusive. It was a very good night!

   Food ok. Service spotty. Atmosphere terrible. Had to wait at host stand forever only to get a reserved right outside of the kitchen. The smell of fish was overwhelming.

   business was empty at lunch today and service was terrible, food portions and taste not great. Downtown Tampa needs better restaurants. Malio's has gone downhill

   Service was great...we ordered a lot of different things and almost all of it was excellent. A few things missed the mark, but it didn't matter because the experience overall was excellent. Would recommend to anyone and definitely will be back

   Only small complaint or concern rather is that a specific hostess seems to tell my group that there are never any tables for the patio, so I go on open table and make the reservation and then she said oh okay you can have a table outside then. My group comes down newrly 3/4 times a week from our offices upstairs and we never have any issues. Seems odd. Hopefully not serious.

    This is one of the Best Restaurants I have visited. The food was outstanding. We split the filet and crab cakes which were delicious. Our server was very attentive.
