I noted that it was a second date and my date’s birthday, when making then reservation on Open Table. The staff made note of both and went above and beyond. Very impressed by the staff and both of us will recommend this restaurant:)
Delicious, creative menu items. Great ambiance. Exceptional service. A little on the pricey side, so I would reserve it for special occasions.
My wife and I were very impressed from the first Hell-o to the desert which we rarely order. Great place to go after the Straz show. Will be going back very soon.
Excellent service, delicious food! Highly recommend.
What a wonderful dining experience for my birthday! The service was amazing and the food rates top five of all meals!
High end restaurant with wide selection of good food.
Awesome. Great A+
Excellect service. Above average food but not spectacular and not pricey for what was served.
My husband and I made a reservation at Malios because we wanted a great steak. We went light with one side, the best mashed potatoes, so we could have dessert. Thank you, Gia, for great service.
I was visiting a friend in Tampa, and was treating her to dinner and a concert (Paul Simon's Homeward Bound farewell tour) at the Amalie Arena, so we looked specifically for a steakhouse nearby. Malio's was highly rated on Trip Advisor. They also offer dinner starting at 3 pm, and we wanted to get an early start, so any restaurants that open at 5 weren't options for us. The high rating and the flexibility of arriving at an early hour clinched it for us.
We both opted for the 6 ounce fillet served with a pat of butter. Or steaks were cooked perfectly, and were flavorful and tender. Everything is à la carte, and sides are sized to be shared. We shared a HUGE baked potato and a large serving of grilled asparagus with hollandaise sauce. We ordered wine by the glass. My friend especially enjoyed a German riesling, and I was very happy with a malbec. We ordered chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and icing to go to enjoy after the show. The desert portion was also of gargantuan dimension and meant to be shared. The cake was moist; the frosting rich and delicious.
Slow traffic and areas of heavy convectional thunderstorms forced us to push our 4 pm reservation to 4:30. The kitchen was running slow even though the restaurant was not filled. Our asparagus arrived well after the steaks and potatoes, but was done perfectly, and the hollandaise was wonderful. Our cake took a long time to arrive, so our server personally expedited the order.
Malio's offers complimentary parking in the building's garage with a validation. One big caveat: Do not have your parking ticket validated prior to your meal.
The food is wonderful, but arrives in a leisurely fashion. Allow enough time.
The service ethic is outstanding.
Validate parking after - not before - your meal.
The restaurant gets loud as it fills up.
Great food. Great service. Bar area was packed, loud and energetic; but the restaurant was plenty quiet enough for great conversation.
Phenomenal as always. First time having the happy hour burger. Best in town at any price.
Great first time visit, and will definitely repeat. Gia and Claudio were amazing, super courteous, and thoughtful.
Our wedding anniversary of my husband & I and a get together with a couple, friends of 20 + years!
Perfect spot to celebrate move in day at UT. Great place to relax and let them do the work. Great steak and home made pasta. Perfect apps, salads and dessert. Loved it. We will certainly be back!
In town on vacation and Malio’s came highly recommended. It did not disappoint. I Had the veal chop. It was delicious! We would definitely go back again.
We had a date night and had 2 large parties that were very loud so kinda subdued the romantic date aspect of the evening
Service and food was outstanding
Malio's is always very nice to go to. It is a cross between a business/special occasion restaurant, however you could easily eat there every week or so. This visit the steaks were not as good as prior visit. They just weren't as savory and flavorful. But still good. Service is excellent as always. I will return but be more picky about sending meat back if it isn't good enough. Wish I would have this time - we had 5 steaks between us and three weren't up to par, but edible - but not at that price - they should be always excellent.
Excellent food and service! Escargot, rack of lamb and prime fillet were outstanding!
Amazing meal and experience. Definitely will be returning. I had the filet mignon and it was the best I’ve had.
Worst service ever from hostess to waitress.. they seemed annoyed to be there. I’ve heard this is a decent lunch place but dinner must use the B team or C team more accurately.
The steak wasn’t that great for the value, no flavor and the ribeye was so thin for the price. Very disappointed
The food was excellent. The service was great. Went there for a date and we were seated above the bar area which I have to say was not where I wish we were seated, due to the fact that it was very loud in that area. Had a hard time hearing what my date was saying. Other than that it was a great evening.
Met for a business lunch. The location, service and food were perfect and we had a great discussion with our meal. I forgot to get my waiter to confirm the valet ticket, but the valet helped me out. Overall great experience.
Dinner was great! Only comment was that before we were done with our cheese course the waiter brought our main course despite us requesting to please hold off on it so that we could complete our first course before dinner. We almost felt rushed when in fact there were plenty of tables available for other diners. Great food and great experience would recommend for a date night.
My in laws were in town and wanted to take us to a nice dinner. We brought my two year old son which is always a challenge, especially in a nice restaurant. Connor and the rest of the waitstaff were wonderful and helpful. Everyone was great with my son, even when he was a little rambunctious. The food was delicious and we had a wonderful time.
Lovely. Service superb.
From the efficient and polite valets to the almost overwhelmingly fast check in for our reservation, the up front service at Malio's is everything you could hope for. Once seated the wait staff are attentive and knowledgeable but also know when to leave you alone so you can enjoy your date. The food is extremely good and while not a cheap restaurant the price is what I would expect to pay for a great meal.
Everything was great and worth all the calories 😂
My clients enjoyed their meal. Malio’s Was their choice. I had the best burger ever...the French onion burger. Will definitely go again.
I would like to thank the folks at Malio's Prime whom made proposing to my girlfriend a great experience. I made a special request via Opentable and the restaurant took care of everything. Special note to our waiter Jerry who was very charismatic and a joy.
Jerry was an incredible server ! Our food was delicious, and he was very attentive and charming! We will definitely be back!
The atmosphere is "cold" overall. The perfect place for a business lunch. Nothing more. The reverberation of sound and the decor made us feel like we were dining in the lobby of an office bldg., Oh yeah, we were.
The food however average at best. The prime rib, ordered medium rare, came out with a rare center and a gray, yes gray, outer edge which was obviously very unappetizing! It was also super salty. That was the only flavor the beef had. The butter, of course, was ice cold but the bread was a really very good. The lobster bisque was also without taste except the fishy taste we hoped wouldn't be present. The other nagging thing was we paid an additional $9 for lobster meat in the bisque and, I swear I am not lying, there was a sprinkling of meat, I don't even know how you could be so adept at being that, let's say exactly what it is, CHEAP!
Overall one of the worst dinners we overpaid for in a long time!!!!!
Fast becoming my favorite Tampa steakhouse! I will admit the entrance is a little different as far as fine steakhouses go, but the ambiance, staff and food is worth walking over hot coals!
Delicious prime steaks, excellent service, and easy valet parking make certain I will be back!
As always, the food was excellent, the choices were great for everyone. The service was wonderful and the prices are very reasonable. Great place for family and business meetings. Parking is the Best!
excellent steakhouse. The crab cakes were delicious, the wine selection very nice, steaks cooked perfectly. Our waiter, Jerry, was awesome and make some great recommendations.
This was our second visit. We liked it just as much if not more than our first. The food is amazing. The service is awesome.
Steak is unimpressive...specially for a 'Prime Steakhouse.'
This is a 5 star restaurant! The food is delicious — steaks are tender and juicy, the seafood is fresh — and the ambience is both trendy and beautiful. The restaurant is located on the river walk and features both indoor and outdoor dining options. The service was excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant (make a reservations) and look forward to enjoying another superb meal.
