Restaurant is somewhat difficult to find. Was a very busy place and service was rushed and definitely not personal or attentive but slow. Prices are very high considering the level of service and food quality. They ran out of some of the dishes on the menu, which is very disappointing. I had crab pasta and while tasty - some of the pasta was sticking together in one big glob. My wife ordered Malios potato mash but it was more like soupy potato puree like put in a blender and turned on full for too long. I am very surprised that a restaurant with such a poor service, food quality and high prices can survive.

This was a weekend of celebrations for my wife and I. It was my wife's birthday and our wedding anniversary. I wanted this to be a most special evening and that was why I chose Malio's. I made the reservation and I annotated the celebrations. When we checked in for our reservation I asked the hostess if she saw my annotation and quickly wished us happy birthday and happy anniversary. Our server greeted us and wished us the same. Since I had informed the restaurant of our celebrations, I was hoping that we would have some special treatment to help us celebrate. Whenever we celebrate at other establishments such as Flemings, Capital Grille or Ocean Prime they typically go over the top to make our celebration memorable. Our server never offered any celebratory desserts or complimentary anythings, such as a champagne toast. When he presented the check I questioned him and he just stared at me. There was also a drink on the bill that didn't belong to us. He took the check and consulted with a manager only to return with a new bill with the drink (only) removed. Our check was in excess of $350. I was completely surprised that a restaurant with the status of Malio's would not have at least offered us a complimentary dessert. Unfortunately, the server took the brunt of Malio's shortcomings. And sadly, it was a bit embarrassing given the fact that I annotated my wife's Birthday and our Anniversary.

I was seated...and then they forgot about for me. After sitting there for 10 minutes...the waiter came by and said " sorry, they had me doing stuff in the back". So instead of receiving me, they had the waiter doing who knows what. Moving on, the waiter didn’t understand some questions from the menu, didn’t refill promptly, I had to ask others for a drink. Food was good, cooked to appropriate temperatures, everything tasted great, I would put it on par with outback steakhouse. Overall, it was a mediocre experience. There are better options out there for a meal at this price level, I just don’t see the reason to eat there.

A truly iconic Tampa dining experience that did not disappoint. Perfectly attentive service with a thank you from management at dinner's end. Veal Milanese outstanding, so worth the price of admission...classic prime filet did not disappoint and was perfectly cooked. Incredible food. Highly recommend getting the Chilean Sea Bass Theresa style.. one of the best I’ve had! Oysters were great and the Delmonico steak was perfectly cooked. Service was fantastic. Our only knock was we got sat on the upper level at one of the four tops and the noise carried really bad up there so we had a hard time hearing each other without almost yelling. Overall amazing and will def be back just request a different spot to sit :)

The restaurant seems a little dated. The service was fast and excellent, however the food was just mediocre. The crab cake entree should have been called a bread crumb entree as it was mostly mushy bread crumbs with hardly any crab. Because of the round shape of the building, the tables for two by the windows are small and wedged at odd angles making it very awkward and uncomfortable. If you want the bathrooms, they are located outside the restaurant and shared with the office building lobby. The location is great for the nearby performing arts center and river walk.

The service was great, the two overcooked steaks that were 20% high priced than the menu on here wasn’t so great. The lighting was super bright and it was pretty loud. I’d say it was more of an Outback Steakhouse quality with a great server, never mind more expensive, brighter, and louder than capital grill. It’s a meh for me.
