My 27th dinner party
Great overall experience. We went on a weekday and it wasn’t very busy. However, our server was slow but he was really good when he was present. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there.
It was great. Staff was friendly
Great as always
Overall a good experience, but some dishes were a little on the salty side. And our table was tiny, so the staff kept bumping into it and the presents we had sitting nearby for a birthday (the reason we were there).
The food is always great at Maggiano’s! We ordered two of the classic pastas which is a great deal as you can take one home. The server was not as attentive as we normally have at Maggiano’s but overall a great experience.
Our waiter Nick was the best waiter we have had anywhere!!!
It was my husband first time, my second time we enjoyed our dinner, our waiter was very attentive not over bearing. We will definitely be back ❤️
A manager came up & asked us about our satisfaction with our meal & experience. They are doing a promotion, & we got our salads free. This is our favorite Italian restaurant. Their Chopped Salad is a great opener, & their Fried Zucchini has an amazing lemon zester aioli.
Usually we have a great experience however this time was not very well. We had 8pm reservations for a Bachelorette dinner we arrived around 7:50, we were not seated till around 8:40, we never griped as we know you can’t make people leave tables. But they never communicated with us we had to ask for update as we had car services booked and needed to cancel them. They were nice and offered a complimentary appetizer which was appreciated. Our biggest gripe was our server, it was apparent he was over his shift and ready to leave. It’s was not busy and it took him forever to get our drink order or to even get food ordered. He rarely visited the table, never once offered water refills or allowed us to order more drinks, we had 7 people celebrating a bachelorette and car service would have loved to have more than one drink as this was the start of our celebration. He forgot some of the meal, and after we finally got everything and ate we sat for at least 30 minutes waiting to get our ticket so we could leave, having to reschedule car service yet again. Overall it was an awful experience as we had built up Maggiano’s to many of the attendees at the party and received worst service I’ve ever experienced. We were married at Maggiano’s and absolutely love the place but this was beyond horrid. We couldn’t even locate a manager to relay our disappointment in the service. As I said this was purely a server issue though, food was good, restaurant beautiful.
The food was adequate, but the orders Took forever to arrive, and arrived incomplete.
We have always thought that the drive to Northpark was worth it for the higher level of service and quality Maggiano’s typically provides, but it appears that that is not the case any longer.
Our server was very attentive and personable
We were a party of five and all of us left disappointed. Normally, when your food comes out lukewarm, it's because the kitchen messed something up and one dish comes out scorching hot. Not the case here. All were tepid. I knew we were in trouble when the waiter handed me my Eggplant Parm across the table with no fear the plate would be too hot to handle. Water glasses went empty for long periods of time. Need some balsamic vinegar for the bread? Get up and look for it. Bottom line: Go to Kenny's Italian or pretty much any other place for Italian food. There's a reason Maggiano's is always offering coupons and deals, and it isn't because the food is worth full-price.
My grandson loves Maggiano’s and we always go there when we get together.
Fun time with my kids!
We were a party of 6 with family, seated in a secluded round top. Service in terms of beverage refills could have been better, but the quietness and privacy of the table was worth it. Great meal, as always.
Did not have a good experience we were crammed in a table that I was pushed up against the table, and when asked to move to another table was told that was for a bigger party, our party was 6 people. Also food was very dry and noodles were hard. Not a good dinner or birthday experience.
Slow service seemed understaffed! Took forever to get drinks which came only a few minutes before our food! It was freezing cold and took multiple complaints to resolve.
We were upstairs and lots of plastic drink cases and other storage items were next to
Our table! Ugly! Our
Granddaughter got engaged that night so it could’ve been better all around!
We always come to Maggianos on Christmas Eve. We love the atmosphere, service and food. We ordered cheese ravioli, eggplant parmigiana and Caesar salad. All of the food and the service was wonderful. Mike was our waiter and he was great! He really took care of us. We'll be back again!
Love Maggiano’s but we went on Christmas Eve (a family tradition for years) and now that they offer carry out AND dine in it has ruined the experience for us. The check-in area was chaos, they jammed everyone into a small space and the food came out cold. Our server did a good job. Wasn’t his fault. I would suggest not going on holidays.
Reserved a 5:30pm table for 8 people and went Christmas Eve as we have for the last 6 years. We were also seated upstairs. Seated at 5:40pm. Server addressed us at 5:50 and took drink and appetizer order. 30 minutes later at 6:10pm no drinks but ordered salads & entrees. 6:20pm appetizers showed up but had to ask for them to be corrected as food was missing from plates. 50 minutes into this disaster at 6:30pm server told us bar was backed up but we’d have drinks soon. (I walked downstairs and got a drink from the bar right away but ok) 1 hour later at 6:40pm drinks showed up. Excuse was the bar lost our order. (We refilled our own water glasses repeatedly because server, who had TWO tables was overwhelmed helping others while numerous “event” servers just stood there) Salads showed up but had to ask an annoyed, disinterested server for and wait on plates. 1 hour 40 minutes after we were seated at 7:20pm told waiter we had 8pm plans and needed our entrees soon. She stated less than 5 minutes. 3 minutes later (yes, the kids had stopwatches going at this point) the “food” showed up. It had obviously been sitting under heat lamps for sometime. ALL the pasta dishes were ICE COLD under hot dried out sauces, the filet was both raw and well done (that was impressive), and the asparagus risotto was a very unappetizing dried out orange color. I am actually shocked the server chose to bring the embarrassing food to the table. We refused to eat or pay for anything other than our much delayed drinks, appetizers, salads, and 1 meal that my guest insisted on eating because they were diabetic and needed to eat. Heard every excuse in the book but the restaurant controls how many they seat, when they seat them and the staff needed to maintain their desired output for guest. One of the worst meals my family has ever had anywhere. We ended up with Taco Bueno after a lovely carriage ride. Tacos were 100% better than Maggianos. Maybe that will be our new Christmas Eve tradition.
Our family visits Maggiano’s every year on Christmas Eve. We always enjoy the festive holiday environment, the delicious food, and the attentive service. This year was no exception, and we really enjoyed it. Thank you, Maggiano’s!
Great Christmas Eve Lunch, our reception staff, waiter, and serve staff were incredible. The food was outstanding.
We made reservations for 10 - Annual tradition with family. We were seated upstairs (which has NEVER happened). When I saw it - not festive or with energy of downstairs - I requested downstairs. The nice lady helping us turned to her Manager to explain the situation. Not knowing my daughter in law was there, said “If they don’t like it, they can leave.” Not kidding. I had no idea they seated upstairs except for private parties. It was a dud - waiter overwhelmed - felt like Siberia. We never would have selected the restaurant had we known. We had had the reservation for weeks. Our bill was close to $650. + tip so not an insignificant amount to be treated so poorly. The one lady was trying to be helpful but the manager who made the rude comment - could not believe.
Huge amount of food- everything is splittable including salads- huge amount of people!
We go every year at Christmas. The food was Dec
Efficient friendly service. Food is delicious. I like the lighter fare options.
There were nine of us so our waiter had his work cut out for him. But he did a fantastic job. I wish I could recall his name now. We love going to Maggiano’s. It’s our go-to restaurant for family get togethers!
Our part waited at the table 1.5 hours at the table from the time we were seated until our entrees were served. Unacceptable with two toddler even though they were served within 45 min. The food & service were excellent.
Loved the brunch!
We loved it! The food was excellent and sever was awesome!
Great food! Great service. Thanks Matt. Enjoyed it!!
Our servers upstairs were AMAZING!! Had. A blast!
Very nice meal. Food was served correctly and delicious. Really enjoyed the old fashioned Italian ambience. Good service. We will be back.
They were very busy with the holiday traffic. Our experience was a solid ‘2’.
It started off with dirty glassware. The waiter chalked it up to the waterproof lipstick in vogue today. Should we care why? Dirty is dirty.
Our waiter’s attention was nominal at best. Breadbasket remained empty far too long. All of our food came out tepid to cool. He wasn’t available to flag down. It obviously sat too long on the serving table.
I ordered the eggplant parmigiana. The breading was too heavy and overpowered the eggplant. All I tasted was breading.
Pasta and gravy was overcooked. It was the consistency of ‘Spaghetti O’s’.
Not going back...
Always a Christmas tradition. Love the classic old music and the wonderful food and wine.
Service was slow They took the orders from a table next to us that was seated about 15 minutes after us. Ordered wine for drinks and after salad was brought out then they told us that they didn’t have any of the wine we requested. Then they had to go get a wine menu to select another. Food was very good.
We love Maggianos. Good as always
