Great service. Good food. Creative drinks
A perfect night to celebrate or any occasion you want a good locally grown dinner. The wait staff is impeccable. The food, delicious and generous. Drinks are amazing and has a reasonably priced wine list.
Had a great dinner at Lucky's - food was great - roasted oysters appetizer was fabulous! Staff was attentive and very courteous. I ad the grouper entree special and the fish was cooked perfectly. I will certainly go back!
It is SO LOUD in there. Otherwise lovely. Amazing food and service, fantastic drinks. But too loud. Our throats were more from trying to have a conversation.
Always in form—expertly executed upscale comfort food, best cocktails anywhere around here, and very cool staff.
Lucky never disappoints! Great food and great service. And even better cocktails.
This place is awesome. If you are in Roanoke, it’s a must for sure. Fantastic cocktails, shishito peppers to die for, crispy fried chicken, sweet and tender scallops, and many other wonderful dishes. Soooo good! I would go out of my way to go back again.
This was a celebration of my daughter’s graduation from Nursing program. We had a party of eight and from the moment we came through the door until the end of our dinner, everything was perfect. Lucky’s food and service made for a wonderful evening. Definitely a night to remember. Thank you!
Try one of their creatively mixed cocktails, and if you like a little show while being made, sit at the bar. Food flavorings equally creative and appealing. The mussel bowl is a must - plump and served in a delicious broth. Dessert offerings limited but perfect to share, along with after-dinner coffee drink. Server was knowledgeable and attentive without hovering.
Fantastic food and the specialty cocktails were amazing. Staff were very helpful in description of the menu. Smiles all around. Great atmosphere!
A great restaurant. The food was some of the best we have had in Roanoke. Because of the design, expect a noisy atmosphere.
I live in Blacksburg and had heard so many my good things about Lucky and decided to get a reservation for my boyfriend's birthday. It was cozy and elegant upon arrival. We had shared a few of the small plates and tried two of the handmade cocktails. Everything was excellent. Our server was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu, including ingredients and locations. I would recommend going here for sure.
Took my significant other out for a birthday dinner. It was the first time either of us had been to Lucky. The drinks, dinner everything was delicious.
Late supper after a concert in Elmwood Park. The pork shoulder was a-maz-ing!!
The food is always amazing! The drinks are even more amazing! Taylor and Kent are world class bartenders. Our server was amazing! If I could give this place 10 stars, I would.
This place is the best! I love taking anyone who visits me in Roanoke. The service is impeccable and the food is some of the best.
Every cocktail they have is impressive and they also can make any drink you request
Very good food, especially the appetizers.
Excellent cocktails, and spot-on service ( not intrusive, but available and prompt and informative/helpful). We enjoyed the entire experience.
I live in Washington, DC and drive 3 hours to eat here. The place is absolutely amazing.
The food was scrumptious, the service was fantastic (we had Jeremiah), and the atmosphere was festive. I thoroughly enjoyed the fried brussel sprouts and my husband enjoyed his oysters and southern fried chicken. Will definitely revisit soon.
My wife and I had dinner and then concert next door
Everything about this experience was fantastic!
Loved trying all the app offerings. Thought the cheese portion on the board was a wee sparce. Cocktails and mussels were fab! Super service.
Pork shoulder plate was very heavy on the portion and protein
We went to Lucky for an evening snack after an early dinner. Atmosphere was lively, service was excellent. Great beer, wine and cocktail menu. We ordered 3 appetizers and all were excellent, local ingredients with a twist.
I’ve lived in NY and Boston and the food here rivaled what you would get there. Cocktails were amazing and food was fantastic. The Handsome Devil and Gloria Clemente cocktails with apps (Brussels sprouts, shishito peppers, & mussels) and The Pear Skin Rug and Ther Cardi B with dinner. Ribeye that melts in your mouth and fried chicken that falls off the bone. I don’t even like coffee but I loved the after dinner espresso.
The staff at Lucky is always so accommodating! I'm so glad that shishito peppers are back in season and ribeye was fatastic! The craft coctails are second to none and the pricing is very reasonable with no compromise on the quality of food and drink. Always impressive!
We are “foodies” who were transplanted here from the Northeast. One of our biggest concerns was having restaurants where we could eat and feel we weren’t settling. We had nothing to worry about. Coming to Lucky’s we found an extremely creative bar and dinner menu made from fresh ingredients and served superbly! The added bonus is the friendly staff who greet us as if we were family returning home. They are extremely knowledgeable about all the items on the changing menu and provide excellent recommendations based on our tastes. Lucky’s is definitely becoming a favorite of ours!
We ordered a bunch of small plates. The waitstaff seemed surprised that we weren't ordering mains but it was our first time here and we wanted to try a bunch of items. Everything was delicious except for the strange dipping oil that came with the bread that we ordered. It was supposed to be olive oil infused with garlic but it definitely wasn't olive oil and there wasn't a hint of garlic. Craft cocktails were delicious and we had one too many each. Stand out food items: oysters, kale with bacon, Brussels sprouts.
Wonderful experience at Lucky. Server was very attentive, food was delicious, and location was convenient. Will be back!
We always enjoy our meals at Lucky. It is a true Neighborhood Gem.
What a terrific experience! From the appetizer (the large bread plate with all its olives, tapenade, goat cheese, etc. was a great start), to the entrees (scallops and the pork shoulder), it was a meal to remember! The server was attentive (but not hovering), and the prices reasonable. This was a special occasion, but we’ll be back!!
Lucky is still the best restaurant in Roanoke. Food is amazing from start to finish. That bourbon list though! Love the atmosphere...great food and drinks without being a stick in the mud.
Love the Oysters on the 1/2 Shell!!!! Best Ever!!! Never been disappointed!!
The Pear Skin Rug cocktail was delicious! We had a wonderful evening with oysters and several small plates! The servers are very welcoming and accommodating.
Lucky is always great! I took colleagues who had never been to Roanoke to Lucky and it was a great experience. Great first impression of the Star City!
Lucky never disappoints. The menu is simple enough, but the dishes have a complex ingredient blend that is typically extremely well done. The atmosphere in here is vibrant, but not too loud that you can’t have a direct conversation. All of this, add world class cocktails and service, makes for a great night out!
Lucky is one of our favorites, fabulous!!!! Drinks are superb and menu is great. I love the mussels and my husband loves the scallops. Perfect martinis.
