Lucca Restaurant & Bar Ratings and Reviews
We had a good experience at Lucca’s. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the wait staff were attentive. The bread and mains were fresh and we enjoyed many of the specials. As the marathon is in town during the weekend we visited, they may want to offer a few options for the runners. Overall the food was good. I had the risotto and asked for extra sausage on the side but it was mixed in. The pork chop was fresh and the hamburger was a good portion.
I've always liked Lucca, been going here for years. Their outside patio is beautiful. I feel like the inside of the restaurant could use updated furniture. I paid $75 for my mom and I to have lunch and I was sitting on a cracked cushion. I think the entree prices are expensive, would only come here on a special occasion. $20 for pasta is kind of ridiculous. Delicious though!
Tracy was a great server giving us all the attention and information we need and then presented us with delicious food, drinks and an amazing banana dessert. I love the ambience. Everyone looks happy to be here.
We will come here more regularly! Thank Tracy for making our experience excellent!
A local person we happened across during our visit to Sacramento suggested we try Lucca's. It was within walking distance from our hotel and we gave it a try. We were overall happy with the service and food. It wasn't outstanding but very good. Nothing to complain about and nothing to really rave about.
The food is absolutely amazing!!! And the place is so cool and fun to sit outside. The only complaint I have was our waitress was not knowledgeable about wine, did not come check on us and we were there for my birthday and my friends. I told them this ahead of time and also told the waitress at the start. She told us she would bring us something special. Another table next to us was celebrating as well and she brought them something. At the end of the night we didn’t get sent anything and she just brought us the check.
A very disruptive man was being billigerent and constantly disrupted my dinner and other around by asking our table to take photos of him. The staff was well aware however failed to escort him out of the building and only said to me, “thank you for putting up with him.” I don’t get paid to deal with rude customers, I was only trying to enjoy a nice dinner.
I was there with reservations, but many were not. There was an event nearby and the restaurant did not know about it, so they were suddenly lined out the door with customers. They handled it well. Everyone was seated quickly and diners were all accommodated quickly as well. I was impressed. And my service was just as good. The restaurant stood up to the sudden rush with grace and good will.
I had high hopes for this place. They not only put us in the back of the restaurant but quickly forgot about us. The "flatbread" is a flour tortilla with cheese on it. The Sangria was red wine and limes and I'd give you a review on the dessert but the waitress gave us the dessert menu and forgot to come back. After 10 minutes with empty drinks and a cleared table we decided find someone to pay our bill with and left.
Not the same place it was in the past 3 - 5 years! I use to love this place...but this Thursday night.. service was horrible! I actually had to go to the bar for our 2 glasses of wine because the waiter forgot about them. He was hard to find until the check was requested. The food was just average. I had the shrimp & pasta and she had pappardelle. Although it came out in timely fashion it was fairly bland and a little over cooked.
We have come here a couple times in the past year and both times the service was less than average. This time it was terrible! Plus it was noisey and felt rushed ...just not a comfortable experience for $$. Too many other good restaurants in the area so,.... I can not recommend this place anymore.
The roasted chicken risotto was fabulous! My husband was disappointed in the short ribs, meat was tender but the sauce lacked much flavor. Server forgot to bring us bread but when we asked for it, she apologized. She was very friendly, had a great smile! Definitely will go back!!
