I reserved through open table. Restaurant called and said they need to cancel cause they don't do luaus on Saturday which was not true. We drove by and there was a luau. We went to the Hyatt Regency luau down the road instead which was fantastic.

Seating is too close together, otherwise food/beverage and show were worth the investment

The food was very good with a good selection of entrees and sides. The show was fantastic. This was our first Luau and first time in Hawaii and we had a blast. I would recommend this as a nights entertainment.

Open Table no longer services this restaurant. Open Table allowed us to make a reservation for the Luau. Fortunately I called the Royal Lihaina Luau to check on our reservation, the day of the Luau, and was told that they no longer use Open Table. We we were lucky enough to still secure a reservation. Shame on you Open Table for almost costing us a missed a Luau on our family vacation!

It was our first time in Hawaii and also our honeymoon. Of course we wanted to do a luau. We chose this one and it was absolutely amazing. It did rain on us lightly during the event but that did not ruin the luau at all. The food was outstanding, especially the pork. The show was cool as well. The fire knife finale was Amazing. Great ocean front view as well.

The food was quite good for a luau, where one comes primarily for the entertainment. We kicked ourselves when we found out afterwards that had we booked through our hotl, rather than through Open Table, we would have saved $30 per person. However, booking through Open Table gave us complementary leis and ceramic drinks glasses and we had very good seats.

They promised they would do their best to give us our money's worth and they did! Food was amazing, since it is a buffet, I recommend that if you like pork, be sure you save a lot of room on your plate for the wonderful pork they make, forget the salad you can get that anywhere and eat the island specialties instead.
Kids had a great time too, we had 3 toddlers and they all enjoyed the food (they have a special table for the kids food) and the entertainment was mesmerizing, even for the 16 month old.
5 year old got up on stage and learned the Hula and the 3 year old loved all the after dinner performances.

This show was amazing! It was our first trip to Hawaii. The luau was much more than a great meal! The talented performers did an excellent job! The history told of Hawaii made the entire show much more valuable as well! Staff went over and above to make our experience a wonderful lifetime memory! We went VIP and felt it was worth every bit! I have already referred several people to going there in the near future. Special shout out to Victor in the bar for making our drinks perfect every time and for giving us more of the local history! Awesome Luau! Great job to EVERYONE involved!

I had always wanted to try the Royal Lahaina Luau, and am I ever glad I did. For those of you who read "Maui Revealed", don't listen to the reviewer. I say Shame on them for writing such a poor review. The food was excellent, the dancers were amazing, the hostess was talented and engaging, and the open bar was non parallel! Mahalo Royal Lahaina Luau. Thank you Open Table for the ease of reserving on line as well. It was so enjoyable getting the preferred seating, real flower lei and cocoa nut lei greeting. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Great luau! Book online and see if there are any last minute specials! If the VIP option is less than $30 do it. You get much better seating, free blended drinks, and a lay

My fiancé and I stayed at the resort but did the Vip luau experience through Open Table. Would definitely recommend spending the extra to get the souvenirs.
Great evening with lots of friendly people and a fantastic sunset whilst eating the buffet which was overall very good.

The show was particularly excellent especially the hostess on the stage

This was our first luau so I have nothing to compare it to. We had a good time and had good conversations with our table mates. The food and show were both good. My only complaint was being seated directly into the sun until it set, which wasn't so fun. Otherwise an enjoyable evening.

The service and show were was great! The food was ok or maybe I just don't really like Hawaiian food? I reserved with an online special that allowed my family & I to bypass the regular line & go to the buffet first - nice perk! I would highly recommend this Luau.

The food is nothing special at all. I've had similar at graduation parties. For the price it is not worth it at all. The show is cool but the host is something from a game show. The all you can drink is very limited drinks and the all you can eat food isn't near the value. If I were paying $60/person instead of $112 I'd be more likely to recommend it. Check some of the other places for a better luau

I expected this to be a tourist show; and of course it is. Very good and entertaining presentations. It's a buffet; and the selections were superb. Our waiter for drinks kept us "well watered" thru the evening; another drink before the last was empty. Make sure you book VIP seating thu open table; the seats were In the Front Row; with premium drinks included. I've only done this one luau; but recommend it highly.

Downside is checking in; really a confused mess. I had read this in other reviews and can confirm it. My advise is to book open table VIP; and let the cattle herders know you are a VIP guest; as soon as the entry staff learned we were VIP we were moved directly to our table right at the stage, drinks within minutes.

Drinks are very strong and you'll definitely get your money's worth on at least the food and drinks. The buffet had various foods for all diets. My boyfriend and I are on a no-carb plan & we still had plenty to choose from without having to pick things off. The pulled pork was good but kind of dry and most definitely not the pig that we saw come out of the ground. The chicken was the most delicious entree in my opinion. The skin was thin and crunchy but the meat was so tender it nearly fell off the bone.

The staff did a wonderful job getting everyone to the buffet table in an orderly fashion. There was still plenty left after everyone got their first plate. The dances and entertainment were very enjoyable. We watched the sun set as we ate.
