Louie's Wine Dive 119th Kitchen
We had a great experience, but we didn’t realize the kitchen closed at 8. It might be my fault I didn’t see it somewhere, and the waiter let us know so we could order our main food still, but I wish I had known before showing up to a 7:30 reservation. Delicious food and a great wine recommended by staff. We will be going back for sure!
We love that you have so many gluten free options, especially the fried fish and cheese curds. It is a real treat for someone with celiac!
Our server went above and beyond. I appreciate the kindness he showed us, and our meal was well prepared even though we were towards the end of the evening. My only complaint is that I wish there was a little more variety and options available on the menu.
We arrived at 8:30pm on Friday and we told the kitchen closes in 10 min, so the whole experience was rushed. Had the Risotto with Shrimp and the arugula salad with Salmon. The salad was great, and my only complaint about the risotto was the salt level. The cheese / crunching topping had way too much salt. I would go back but probably just for drinks
Hamburger was very undercooked and the server was indifferent about correcting. We have been here many times but probably won’t be back to have a meal.
Love the food, love the service. This restaurant has always been one of our favorites - but with COVID 19 - it is one of the only ones that we go out to. Good table spacing, all staff wearing masks, etc.
Excellent atmosphere, service, and food! Will definitely be back!
The squeaky cheese and burger appetizers were great! Good service and great wine.
It was a great place! I was confused because their kitchen closes at 8 but they are open until 9. Other than that it was a fantastic place to go!
The servers were incredible kind and educational when it came to explaining the menu items.
We always enjoy a date night at Louie’s! The wine selections and Charcuterie Board are fabulous.
Our first time and it was a great experience. Service was spot on. Our meals were both very good (she had fish & chips and I had the 4 pork gnocchi). It was Friday and the place was packed but our meals came promptly. We had nice glass of rosè to go with our meal and the total was under$80. We will definitely be going back.
Really terrific from start to finish. My only minor issue was the storefront looks very unlike what you find inside. I was a little nervous until I got inside.
Very nice people serving excellent food. Server was excellent. Ask them to split meals if you r sharing. We split a risotto and a salad, and they did it for us. Very nice!
Eric our server was great!! Attentive but not overly so. Food was delicious!
While the decor seems nice, the wine prices do not match the customer attire. We went there thinking it was more upscale but shorts and T-shirts were everywhere. It’s a wine “dive” why do you charge $15 a glass for a $17 bottle of wine? We thought the food was good but the seafood enchiladas were a bit heavy on the spice. You want to taste the seafood. A nice white cream sauce would be better suited. All in all not impressed. We loved the location in Brookside but this location was not our vibe.
Plenty of parking, and great service. It is a great place to eat and enjoy a drink!
Normally I would be five stars on all but the Covid-19 impact can be felt in many areas. My wife and I continue to enjoy Louie's and would encourage anyone to stop on by.
Fantastic. My wifre loves their fish & chips. I had the pork gnocchi. Loved it.
My wife and I were one of maybe 3 tables eating and our server was just standing behind bar with bartender and another server and that must of been more important than taking care of his table. We had to go to bar to ask for silverware and napkin after food was served and then had to ask for water after server briefly stopped by table but apparently too busy to notice empty glass. I had to go to bar to get his attention again. I did like the food but first impressions are not to good with service.
First visit to this l location. Nicer than Waldo place. The fried chicken and Brussel sprouts were amazing. Not a fan the spicy pickles which was disappointing as I love pickles, but certainly not a big deal. Took half of the chicken home, big portions. Not a lot of ambience but could be due to current circumstances of the virus. Will definitely go back, good service and we appreciated server's masking. Try this place!
Glad to see them back open! Great place to unwind after a long week. Great reception, Great food, superb wine selections. Hopefully all will be back to normal soon so they can bring back more servers.
It was an enjoyable evening out.
I love this place. And thought it was open since it allowed me to make a reservation. However, once we arrived, the doors were locked. I understand times are tough but as places are opening up, it would be nice to have the websites and apps updated so people can plan accordingly. I will continue to visit this restaurant when it is open
We just had appetizers and wine. Both were outstanding. Service was great. Was very quiet because of the guest limitations.
Great food! They have a kids menu.
Very loud, hard to talk to people at your table.
Great food. Great service.
I would recommend with explanation that while the wine list is long, the cocktails and food are average. Service was friendly and attentive. I had made a reservation but the 2 of us were shown to a tiny corner table next to a chatty group when other, more comfortable tables were empty. We were not offered another, in fact the hostess turned to leave when I hesitated at the location. There were still empty tables when we left. Bad first impression colors everything!
We understand places are noisy, especially certain times of the night. But the volume was so high, it was deafening and the two of us needed to literally yell at each other across the table to hear each other. We also could hear the table next to us yell at each other so they could be heard among their four-some. We stayed and ate; the food we both had was very good, and the server was very nice as well. If you want to not have a headache yelling or listening to yelling, make sure you don't go during busy dinner time hour.
Great place with excellent food and wines!
Always enjoy both locations, especially with friends! I tried the chicken sandwich as I usually go for their special salad, nice change of pace for me with good flavor combo. Waitress was helpful as we finished their supply of the wine we were drinking and had to switch midstream!
The food was delicious. The restaurant was so loud that the server apparently did not hear which wine we ordered. She brought us a more expensive wine, and we didn't realize it until we had already drunk it. Everything is a bit overpriced. I would go back, but I would aim for a time when it might be less crowded, because the noise level was pretty unpleasant.
Great time!! Great food, our guests were gluten free so it was perfect!! Thank you for the great service !
Took a while to be greeted but the food was great. but also questionable for the price and presentation. 13$ for a burrito when i could get a bigger one at a breakfast shop? it was food and filling but just not satisfying presentation wise.
The food was excellent, but service was slow. Our party of 4 was first offered a high-top, but when we asked if there was anything else, it turned out that a booth was available.
We went on Valantine's Day and it was not packed. We ordered off their three-course meal for the evening as well as their wine pairings. I ordered steak and it came out well well done. I returned it asking for medium and they brought me one almost blue inside with a fast sear on the outside- almost like the chef was insulted I returned the first one. After that, I gave up and watched my wife finish her meal and desert. I did not have the wine pairing for dessert/ or desert but they charged me for it, before I told them why not just charge for 2 of the 3 glasses I had. They took my wine pairing charge off completely. The manager never came over. I was hopeful we might come back again but not after this experience.
It was Valentines Day. We got in on time for our reservation. Our server seemed very disinterested in his job. Lots of half sentences and “yeps.” We were not informed about the more limited menu in place that night. One of my daughters needs gluten-free and really likes pasta. Seeing lots of options that could be made GF on your regular menu was why I selected the place. Big disappointment to arrive and find they weren’t available. Pretty expensive dinner for four, especially when it wasn’t a very good experience.
This was our Valentines Day dinner date . The noise level was high but nothing jarring. The food was great as usual and the service was impeccable! We really love the place. This was the third or 4th time we dined there ..
We plan to return and enjoy wine tasting with appropriate happy hour treats. Our meal was quite good and very well prepared. It was a bit noisy, but expected for Valentine's night. Pleasantly surprised regarding available wines.
