Great happy hour priced drinks. The saag paneer, goat curry, chicken tandoori, and butter chicken were all excellent. Thank goodness they use dark meat for the chicken tandoori. White meat gets really dried out. Our only complaint would be that the tarka dal was watery, more like a soup.
Really great food, very attentive service. Highly recommended.
As far as Indian cuisine eatery goes, it's alright. It's not quite what you would expect in a true British Indian, but not bad for the US. Food was average to good, my lamb rogan josh was actually very tasty, not spicy but tasty. However, my wife's vegetable curry was too bland, no spicy or heat in it whatsoever! Would I go back, not really. If I was dragged along by some friends, I would happily join too though.
For my 2nd year anniversary!!
It’s just ok, the chicken currys are just average! Did not feel something special in the restaurant just okay. Maybe the sizzling dishes are the strongest dishes in the menu. The staff was chatting between each other while customers were eating. The idea of the restaurant English and Indian is very cool, I don’t know about the execution of the concept. This restaurantes is no my personal cup of tea! But maybe other ppl can enjoy it!
No doubts at all, food is excellent. But the day we visited it was super busy and only 2 waiters among approximately 10 tables. Though they were trying their best. Hopefully managers can have more waiters during those busy times. No one at the front counter when we arrived. Waiter there for about 10 minutes for someone to show up. This restaurant does take open table reservation but the person who showed up at desk told us they don’t have any reservation from us. Glad the wait time was only 12-15 minutes.
The food was excellent and reasonably priced. Happy hour drinks are a real bargain. Service was good but perhaps not as engaging as Himalaya next door. But the food made up for it
WE felt so comfortable at London Sizzler and at home. Our server was very attentive, even though it was quite busy. The food was classically prepared and excellent quality. We especially liked the Sizzler dish of Lamb Tikka Masala. The lamb was tender and delicious and the Masala flavor added so much. Will go back regularly and recommend to friends.
Service was slow and pen ink spilled all over my hand while signing the check.
One of the best Indian restaurants in Houston, the Chicken Kadai and Lamb Madras were on par with the best curries I have tried in the UK and Malaysia, service is very friendly and efficient.
Been here about 2-3 times; for me as a vegetarian, it's ok... but meat eaters and lovers of mild indian food may like it better. Garlic-bullet naan was sweet, which was the worst for me. We ordered gobi manchurian (indo-chinese) but it was more like gujarati bhajia/nuggets... ordered paneer tikka masala as SPICY but it was mild and sweet (not good at all)...plain tandoori roti and papad were the most flavorful... they do have a good variety, but I just rather eat at Shiv Sagar which is a few door down in ghe same plaza. Cheers!
Good place. Good beer on tap.
Food was not as expected! We ordered paneer Tikka with extra spices. Paid extra for the additional which seemed to be not cooked very well. Servers were nice and polite and ambience was decent
Delicious tasting food.
Service is not up snuff with most nice restaurants.
Not a very pretty looking restaurant.
Best food and convenient location, good price, several items to choose.
The service is excellent with attentive wait staff and the meals are one of the better tasting Indian restaurants in the area. There is a very wide selection and very reasonably priced.
Quality of the food was very fresh and tasty. Waitress was attentive, but something got lost in the translation when I ordered coffee.
The food was delicious. There were so many selections to choose from on the menu, my Husband and I asked the waitress for her recommendations.
Bartender was great! Asian bar waitress had very skill as a waitress. Chicken grill was good. Dal maki was watery and bland.
Fantastic food...soooo delicious!! Can't wait to go back!
Some items like chicken 65 and paneer paratha were good but others Like Gobi manchurian, keema paratha, chicken Hindi, spring roll weren’t good.
Food is very much delicious. We ordered vegetarian food.
Very good food with special taste and choice. Convenient location.
Picked this place for a office holiday party and it was worth it.
Food and service was good, especially the sizzler kebab platter. Menu says London Sizzler kebab platter serves 3-5 but we felt it will feed even 5-7, kebabs were very tasty, spice level was perfect and cooked properly. Meat quality was good too.
Definitely recommend this place.
Great curry at a reasonable price. Excellent lamb curries, very tender, and delicious naan bread too. Staff are friendly and polite. Drinks are good and prices are very reasonable.
Very good quality food. Friendly staff. Would recommend
Outstanding service & food!
Great food. Server was very helpful when we explained that our daughter has multiple food allergies.
Terrific food if you’re in the mood for Indian. Nice, attentive staff. Good place for casual, family dinner.
Some of the best Indian food in Houston, always great service, very reasonably priced for an abundance of fabulous food
It was fine.... just not memorable.
All around excellent
This has always been one of our favourite Indian restaurants and we were taking some friends - very keen on Indian food! - to one of our choice spots! What a total disaster! It seems as if it must have a new owner. Nothing we ordered tasted Indian, and it all was so hot with jalapenos that we could not eat it - and I love chillies! Have never even had jalapenos in Indian. All in all, it was embarassing to us after raving about you, and I know we did not make you any new friends. Think you lost all four of us!
The food and ambiance are mediocre.
Wonderful Indian food with lots of vegetarian and non vegetarian options. Highly recommended.
The food and service is very good but price has to be reasonable so we can visit your restaurant many times. We find your price unreasonably high.
We loved it 😘
We enjoyed our dinner but Service was a bit slow. The restaurant was very crowded at the time. It's located near a major Houston concert venue and I think most of the patrons were concert goers all trying to eat at the same time. It's definitely worth a try and they have a fairly extensive Indian menu.
Best authentic Indian food I’ve had in quite a while. Highly recommend it.
