We went to Locale with some overseas visitors and were not disappointed. It was our second visit in as many weeks. It was buzzy, the food was good and the service excellent. We splashed out on some fine wine, so the bill was not typical! I hope we will be back soon.

We were extremely disppointed with this restaurant...the food is not Italian at all but what British family home cooking might imagine as Italian but only badly done...the spaghetti with tomato sauce was so bland that our 2 year old would not eat it! And the service was horrendous! We waited 10 minutes before anyone approached us for drinks or a food order. My Sunday roast was cold and the beef more fat than meat. And then we sat around for 15 minutes after we had finished waiting for someone to collect our plates. I made the mistake of order a scoop of ice cream for my child and it took 10 minutes for them to bring it. Definitely would not recommend this...you're better off going to a chain like Carluccios!

After reading a good review of Locale in Fulham we have booked it for some overseas visitors who love Italian food. However, we had never been and so decided to try it out on Valentine's day. We are often wary of eating out on Valentine's for the usual reasons but the atmosphere was great, the service was calm, the tables spaced well etc. We immediately liked the place. The food was excellent and we are already looking forward to our return!

For a chain restaurant Locale produces excellent food and a pleasant ambience. Our Saturday lunch was faultless.

On this occasion Locale seemed slightly below par in terms of the very good quality we had experienced previously. The service was not quite as well judged and the food not quite so outstanding. Nevertheless we enjoyed our meal. We will go again as it had been great before and is likely to be so again.
