About the restaurant
The flagship brand of his growing, family of eponymous eateries, Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse tells the story of his life. Now open in Nashville, TN, each iteration of these critically-acclaimed restaurants is rooted in the heritage of the original, yet each also tells a tale of its own, inextricably woven into the unique fabric of the community in which it resides. The most noteworthy element of the brand – and undeniably the key to its success – is The Jeff Ruby Experience, an all-encompassing philosophy embodying the very best U.S.D.A. Steaks, Fresh Seafood, Impeccable Service, Live Entertainment and Passionate Attention To Detail. These qualities and more create a total dining experience unlike any other. I have wanted to bring my family to this restaurant and finally was able to do so. We arrived at 655 pm for our 700 reservation. We were ‘greeted’ by a less than welcoming woman who told us ‘that we would be seated closer to our reservation time as we were early.’ I always arrive early to show respect to busy eateries. 5 minutes. She actually scowled. It was off putting. Thankfully, after that this restaurant is exactly how I remembered. We had Donovan who was amazing. Knowledgeable and passionate about the menu. He was kind and really incredible. The food was spectacular. The drinks were wonderful. And the service was impeccable. I love this restaurant.

We reserve a table at Skull’s every time we pass through Nashville…a few times a year. It NEVER disappoints! We love the 5* food and the menu is for foodies (foie gras, escargots, tuna tartar, beef carpaccio are just on their appetizer menu!). Inventive drinks and the piano music followed by live jazz at 7:30 with singers at 8…amazing place! It gets very loud, so be prepared, but we love the old time supper club/speakeasy ambience. Service is impeccable!

Thrilled to have a chance to dine at my favorite television chef’s restaurant. It lived up to all my expectations. Food was outstanding. Grateful there was a fries appetizer and the French dip naan for the youngest in our party who was experiencing Indian food for the first time. It helped bridge the gap for a kiddo who lives in an extremely rural area and is a pizza and chicken fingers kids even at 11. While he wasn’t willing to try any of the curries we ordered it was still a rousing success. The tikka masala, korma, T.O.C Sloppy Joe, naan, and, yes, even the fries were phenomenal. Oddly enough, I wouldn’t mind a slightly smaller portion of curry so I had more room for everything! We were at the six top booth and I was closest to the wall. My only feedback is that it was often hard to hear our server speaking even from the person next to me in the middle. I’m not sure that it is an architectural adjustment. I think he was generally a soft spoken person which was made more difficult because of the environment.

My wife and I have been dining at Midtown Cafe for at least thirty years now. Every visit has been good. Every meal has been outstanding and every server has been excellent. Prices are high, but when a big mac is $5, any price at Midtown is a bargain. The comment about price is not a negative. Some things are worth paying for. And Midtown Cafe is worth paying for. From the atmosphere and the art on the walls, to the amazing food choices and the friendly staff, dinner at Midtown is a wonderful, comfortable, pleasant experience. Wow... Sounds like I know the owner. I don't. I wish I did... Come eat here. You will be glad you did.

Rooted in the traditions of regional cooking, Henley celebrates quality products made by American hands. That starts with the hand selected bourbon and Tennessee whiskey barrels that populate our drink program and extends to our rich appreciation for the bounty available in the American South. Food was excellent! All very thoughtful and creative. We got the Shishito pepper special, the Parker House rolls, the she-crab soup, the steak, and the quail. It was obvious that the chef was very intentional in her dishes, as everything we were served had been touched and elevated. Our waiter, Nick, was knowledgeable about the menu without being pushy on any one item and was extremely helpful when we had questions or modifications. The specialty cocktails were excellent and on par with the entrees. My wife and I regularly like to enjoy the high-ish end restaurants of Nashville ($50-$100 per person) and Henley was likely in our top three we’ve been to in Nashville. Would definitely go again and recommend to a friend.

What a great time with friends. The singer songwriter was so impressive. Great voice and entertaining. Don’t plan to converse much because the music is loud. Food was great. I had the Salmon, hubby had the dry rubbed ribs ( said they were the best dry rubbed he has ever had). Friends got smoked chicken half and Catfish. Both said they were absolutely great! I would definitely put Puckett’s on your list while visiting Nashville. We always book at 7 pm so we are there for the music. If the music isn’t your thing you may want to book earlier or later. The food is well worth it without the music but I happen to love the music.
