Server was not very attentive/polite. When you spend money for good food in a high level restaurant you expect better service.

I took my wife to Lewnes' SteakHouse for Valentines Day. Quiet atmosphere, good service and great food. A little pricey, but all quality steak houses are. Easy street parking or garage parking across the street.

The food was really great. The steaks were just as expected in terms of how cooked they were. Our server was great for the most part and recommended some really great things, but I did not really get a friendly vibe from him. In other words, he checked off everything in what a good server is like, but it didn't feel genuine.

We went for my husbands birthday which happens to be the day before Valentines Day. The food was excellent (could have been a little warmer, cool potatoes and steak). They offered a brownie sundae for the birthday boy. The portions were definitely enough to split. We spent a little more than we were planning too but it was a very nice dinner and night out!

We went on the 13th instead of 14th because we did not make a reservation then we couldn’t get a reservation. Server was good raw oyster wedge salad I order filet cooked perfect my husband had ribeye a little under cooked but did not send back. Onion rings greasy. Key Lime pie nice portion and good. Next time I would try no butter on steak.

This is the best dinner experience I have had in Annapolis - maybe anywhere. The best steak you will ever eat. Treat yourselves to something truly special.

We enjoyed our son's birthday dinner at Lewnes. The steaks were cooked perfectly and shone well, without need for the heavy seasoning that you find at most steakhouses. The wine list was extensive and the one we chose was spot on! We will return to this traditional steakhouse for another special occasion!

Lewnes is consistently excellent. Sam Lewnes does a great job. Steak quality is better than what you will see in Chicago, other cities with stock yards. We would highly recommend this Annapolis restaurant. The Gardiners

Fantastic steakhouse, intimate dining room. Service was on point, extensive wine list with normal sort of restaurant markups. Not an inexpensive meal but a ribeye for $36 could easily be $50+ at comparable places. Not the sort of place trying to dazzle a steak snob with the longest aging process, just good solid steak that is always cooked perfectly. One of my favorites

We always come here for birthdays and our anniversary! The food is the BEST and the service is always extremely professional. The only little thing that bothers me is that they don’t offer more wines by the glass. My husband and I can never agree on a bottle.

Visited this local favorite for my sons 21st birthday. Old building with lots of small dining areas so cozy and quiet. They made me a solid martini. The shrimp cocktail appetizer was fine but the presentation was not adequate for a high end restaurant. I ordered the porterhouse and my son the ribeye. Sides were Lyonnaise potatoes and mushrooms. They also have a nice selection of 1/2 bottles, I ordered a great Honig cab, very reasonable mark up.

Now the bad- My steak came overcooked and the potatoes were room temperature. Son's steak was perfect. They quickly corrected, actually brought me a new plate of mushrooms when my steak came as the shrooms had gone cold. Also comp'd our after dinner drinks and brought out a birthday dessert for son.

Overall great experience except for the hiccup with the main meal. Would recommend.
