Lewnes Steakhouse is amazing! Never had a bad experience in all the times we’ve been there (going on 20 years)!
Very nice dinner, as expected from a good steakhouse.
The only downside was the appetizer menu was lacking a bit. If you aren’t into oysters or crab, there isn’t much else for you. Otherwise, everything is outstanding. Probably the best filet mignon I’ve ever had. The sides were fantastic and the dessert that was given to us to celebrate our anniversary was just as amazing. Ambiance was great, service was not lacking either. We will definitely be coming back.
We had a great dinner and a great time. The only drawback at Lewnes is the content and price of your wine list.
Such a local gem. Consistently excellent steaks and service with a traditional steakhouse ambiance. Even if you are dining out less (or not at all), please be sure to support our local treasures with carry-out or by buying gift cards to help them pay and retain staff during the coming weeks!
Exceeded our expectations! Food was fabulous and the staff really made us feel welcome. Will definitely return!
Excellent dinner experience We would recommend highly and will be back ourselves
Great steaks and during Restaurant Week very affordable!
You just can’t say anything bad!
We went for restaurant week. There were four of us. Matt was a fantastic server and made sure to accommodate my dairy-free restriction as much as possible. Delicious filet! We will be coming back.
Great place to celebrate our anniversary! The crab balls were AMAZING, our steaks melted in our mouths, and the bread was savory. Our server, Eric, was great and attentive.
Always a great meal with awesome service Drinks were god too
This place never disappoints -- they are one of the finest restaurants in Annapolis
Was able to take part in Annapolis restaurant week. Happy to get reservation at 7:00 (thanks Coronavirus). Seated immediately. All went well minus not getting my oysters:(. Really wished they had parking.
Our server, Adam, was very rude, unhelpful, and forgot part of our order and then tried saying we never ordered the item. The steaks were delicious but I definitely won’t be back anytime soon. They need a serious renovation and staff rehire.
Very accommodating staff, food prepared as requested, although most items could use more seasoning. Very good Greek salad.
I decided to take my best friend here for her birthday. And to take advantage of resturaunt week. Boy did I make a good choice. The service was very fast, the ambiance was nice and the food was amazing. We both had the petite filet and can I say this was the best steak we both have had in a long time. Tender, seasoned and cooked to perfection. Will definitely be back soon
As always our experience was exceptional.
Love Lewnes. Always great food and service.
Lewnes is always amazing!!!!
Can't wait until the next time.
Patti was an amazing server, took care of us, kept us laughing, food was great, definitely a must dine of Annapolis. All the special touches, meeting the owners, definitely lived up to everything I told our friends about, from food to drinks, dessert to atmosphere, this is truly a destination dining experience!
David did a wonderful job as our server! We ordered off the restaurant week menu. One of our guests did not get the correct temperature for her filet so they sent it back and brought a new one for her along with some more creamed spinach (so good, my favorite!) & a cocktail for her inconvenience. Once her new steak came out it was still not the correct temperature but she ate it anyway. Over all we had a wonderful time and will definitely be dining again.
Dined during restaurant week and selected the 3 course special. My wife selected the Aegean Shrimp and I the petite beef filet. The 1st course was a tasty seafood bisque and a wonderful Greek salad . My entree was a petit beef filet and it was excellent.A good size portion, which was delectable in that is was very tender and had a natural buttery flavored. My hand cut fries were like thick potato chips without being greasy. I selected button mushrooms as a side which were perfect with my filet. The portion of mushrooms was large enough for two. My wife’s shrimp dish was overly salty to the point where she was unable to eat it. The desserts included a yummy brownie ala mode and key lime pie; both were very good. The wine list was very intimidating with bottles priced up to $1700!
There was a small selection of wine priced under $100. And a small selection of wine by the glass at $12-$16. I would recommend Lewnes for steak, after all it is a Steak House, but would steer away from other entrees. You also might want to consider the Greek Salad & fries. If you a wine connoisseur and don’t mind spending $100’s on a bottle, this place will suit just fine. If you more like us, wine by the glass is a good choice. The ambiance was a dark, older style, classic Steak house with low lighting and white table cloths.
Two large parties in our small dinning room, made for a excessive loud dinner. Our server was proper & efficient but could have been a touch friendlier and pleasant.
Lewnes is a great place for dinner and drinks, and its Restaurant Week offering is a great value.
Best filet I’ve ever had! Exceptional service!!!!!
First time experience was excellent. Decided to visit during restaurant week with friends & we all enjoyed our food. The food had great flavor & portion size was decent. I hope to visit again soon.
Steaks are excellent. Salmon would benefit from a marinade. Salad was OK, but would benefit from the addition of additional ingredients to add color and texture. Bread was terrific.
Our go to place. Best food and atmosphere. Service is excellent and they treat you like family. Love it!!
The food was very good and since it was restaurant week the value was excellent but the service was not up to my standards. One of the party of 3 had to wait for her entree and the waiter forgot to order our side. By the time we got it we were basically finished with the entree so he should have comped it. It was the least favorite of the 5 restaurants we went to over the weekend.
It had been a very long time since we ate at Lewnes. It was just as we remembered it.
We went for an early reservation during restaurant week. The dinner was very nice with salad, entree and side. The service was good. However, the dishes were left on the table for a long period of time. However, they were very busy.
Service very slow, even with a very early seating. Salad was way over dressed.
Perfect restaurant for an elegant evening. Wonderful food, ambiance and service!
Very fancy on the inside. It was very nice. Food was just OK. I have had better steaks elsewhere. It was a nice experience.
Food was excellent, value for food was as well My only "complaint" would be that the menu was extremely limited. By that I mean no prime rib offering for a steak house . Vegetables, except for potato and a spinach based something, was none existent, no broccoli or beans.
We love Lewnes- never disappoints! The service was spot in, the food delicious and drinks are decadent.
Always great. Service, atmosphere and food. Steaks done perfectly Sides are delicious especially potatoes and creamed Spinach. At too many Of the wonderful onion rings!
Been there many times, last visit was for my birthday. Had fabulous wine, ate a perfectly prepared steak and enjoyed professional and courteous service. There is only one restaurant I enjoy more than Lewnes and that’s the Inn at Little Washington.
If you want a perfectly cooked steak and amazing food, this is the place. The food is well worth the price.
Lewnes never disappoints, will always recommend this place time and time again!
