The place itself is very nice; server was attentive and caring. However, the restaurant was very cold and somewhat loud. It was hard to hear the waiters as they came with the food. The food itself was very hit or miss. Some things had interesting combinations, but with very strong, almost unpleasant flavors. Some things were flat out undercooked or overdressed. The presentation was good, but not exceptional.
Though the food is as inventive and good as always, the last few times we have been in the service has been quite slow and sporadic. This even when it is not too crowded.

We found Level online when searching for a restaurant to celebrate our 22nd anniversary. I went gluten-free a few months ago, so dining out has been a bit challenging. There were quite a few choices at Level that fit the bill and I didn't feel cheated at all. The scallops are so good, we had to order them twice!! Also, the drinks are amazing. I had the Bourbonapolis and it was to die for!
Service was really awesome. It was a little cold in the restaurant but that is really the only this negative I could say. The food was amazing and the server was really knowledgeable. I am gong back ASAP :-)

Outstanding restaurant, centrally located on West Street. Food was the best and our waitperson was super helpful and friendly! We shall return and recommend.
Requested that two of their craft cocktail, Bourbonapolis, were ready at the table, and they were. Freshly made. Our waitress was on top of her game. My date, who was visiting for the first time, was very impressed, as I am every time.

Long-time favorite Level continues to perform at a high level: The food is not just creative but uniformly excellent; the service is present when needed and unobtrusive when not; and the ambience is uniformly comforting. The restaurant remains a place where you can confidently take friends with conflicting food preferences and needs (e.g., vegan, fiber-intolerant). The only shortcoming? "Pot de crème" still hasn't returned to the dessert menu.

We tried the fruit snack daquaris, 3 cheese mac n cheese, fried brussel sprouts, ricotta gnocchi, seared pork ribs, crab avocado bruschetta, You Aint Lyon rum cocktail and the seasonal strawberry shortcake dessert as well as the dessert cheese plate. We were seated at a quiet corner on the first floor and Nathan was our superstar attentive server. Our only collective complaint was the gnocchi were too few. Presentation was beautiful, food tasty, drinks strong. I highly would recommend.

Drinks are tasty but very small for the price. Bulliet Mule was all sugar - way too sweet, no bourbon taste. Our waiter’s solution was to take the drink back and offer me a shot of of bourbon? Very odd. Food was delicious!
We met two couples there we haven’t seen in a year and we were all pleased with the dinner. Food and service are spot on. We keep coming back and we’re only there when we’re on the boat. Definitely a fave.

I went for my birthday dinner with my mom and aunt. The service was great and the food was so good. My fav was the duck confit. It was perfectly cooked and very tasty. I would definitely go back.
Level has a wide variety of small plates, and as a vegan eater, several choices of dishes made with organic, fresh ingredients. We loved the mushroom salad plate so much that ordered a second one... The pesto fetucine was good, the beet salad excellent, and the crispy fried brussels were amazing!
They also have many choices for meat and seafood eaters.

Easy to find, parking available, the Gimlet was delicious and all of our selections were good. The milk and cookies dessert was a great way to end the meal especially because they warmed the cup of milk for me! Fresh, local, seasonal ingredients prepared attractively. Nice staff. I will definitely recommend it and go back.
We had 7 ladies gathered for a girls' weekend, and decided to have dinner at Level one night. It was the perfect choice! Food was delicious, and it was such fun to share. There were many options and everyone could find several things on the menu they wanted to try. The atmosphere is fun, but quiet enough that we could have great conversations. Wait staff was friendly and professional, and even took pictures of our group at our request.
Great food and fun eclectic ambiance made for a fantastic friend get together. The service was fantastic! The small plates can really add up though, so don't go hungry...Recommend the brussell sprouts, scallops, tuna, the duck was amazing, and brushcetta.
My husband and I have gone to Level several times before, but this time left quite a bit to be desired. The food seemed like it had all been sitting uncovered in a fridge for a couple of hours - it was a little dried out and not very well seasoned and the service was a bit spotty. In addition, the temperature was way too cold and despite asking the hostess to adjust the temperature, we kept having very cold air blown on us throughout our meal. We noticed that we weren't the only ones who seemed to be cold - another customer was shivering and several customers kept their coats on. I hope Level can get back into their groove - we've had great experiences there in the past - but this time was just a bit of a disappointment.
Level is the perfect restaurant for date night, girls night, birthday or just every day dinning. The food is amazing and the staff is so accommodating. I’ve never had a less than perfect meal or experience at Level. Everything on the menu is delish and the drinks are so creative and fresh due to the fresh homemade ingredients. Absolutely 100% you have to dine here!!
Very good and great service.
We were early for a reservation and told that both bars were full so we could "stand around" if we wanted to wait. Our server took a partial order and then left for 45 minutes. The spicy shrimp cocktail (poached shrimp with spicy tomato marinade and tomato confit) was in fact a stewed tomato with 2 dozen (pickled?) jalapenos and 3 naked shrimp. If you like a hospitable experience and good food try somewhere else.
It was very noisy, busy and not a particularly pleasant dining experience.
This is the first time ive been back since its changed ownership. The service was stellar, but the drinks weak and the food was not good. I dont think id go back.
Great place. My wife and I have had small plates before, but these small plates weren't that small. The house made specialties, spicy tuna tar tar and the Level Gimlet were sensational. Tony provided great service. My wife and I will definitely be back!!!

Great service. Food was good. Prices were high for some of the plates. $15 for 3 scallops is a bit pricey.
Nice place!! Upstairs-downstairs- it was Freezing when we were here - Freezing since we were at Dinner-time, and it had not filled up. The French fries are delicious- the seafood charcuterie is a good idea- but cut so thin -I could not really discern any flavor except in the more regular salmon. Drinks are good and nice wine list! Fun place

Great food from an innovative menu, and a friendly and attentive waiter. The only negative aspect was the table we were given by the hostess, despite a reservation from a few days before and lots of empty tables: a small two-top near the bar, at the edge of a wall separating the two main dining areas. Possibly the worst table in the restaurant, the one they save for last when they're really crowded because it has such high traffic/noise. Hostess just put the menus down and walked away.
Level is always busy, so make a reservation. Everthing is small plates, well-prepared, and fun to mix and match. The house specialty cocktails are out of this world.
Great fresh creative food, customer service is the best!
Had a nice dinner with friends. The Tuna Tartare in a spicy oil with pita chips and the charcuterie tray with homemade pickles, 2 cheeses and fresh pate were very good. Everyone ordered something and shared. I enjoyed my gimlet and our friends enjoyed the sangria.
