Food was varied and delicious. Cocktails were interesting. Service was poor.
Great overall. Recommend!!
The food was ok overall. We loved the salad and calamari but the flatbread was tasteless and barely warm. The device was really off target. The bar drinks took forever, the charcuterie came without bread which we finally got ourselves from the kitchen. Will not return.
Super loud. Food and service was good - bar slow but everyone is short staffed so understandable.
This is post covid dining…we all have to be patient with the lack of employees at restaurants. The staff there were hustling and doing their best. Our server did neglect to let us know the bar was closing, so that was a bummer. The food was delicious though!!
We went for our anniversary and had a lovely time. It was a bit disappointing to find that several of the menu items we’d been looking forward to trying were out of stock since Level was switching seasonal menus soon. But the food we had was delicious. Our favorites were the Brussels Sprouts and Sous Vide Lamb.
The food here was exceptional, but be prepared to wait for a table even with a reservation as this place is really hopping. If you want a quiet meal though, you need to choose a different spot as it is quite lively here.
Food was good. Service was slow, perhaps they’re understaffed.
Great atmosphere, great food, great service. Awesome place to go with friends and family to share a collection of awesome tastes!
Always good food. Attentive and friendly staff. Good house cocktails. Had brussel sprouts, swordfish, butcher’s steak, scallops with pea puree and finally cheescake bites. Everything was deicious, but my favorite were the scallops with pea puree - and I hate peas.
Bartender went the extra mile making a lemonade for my wife.
Only minor negative is that we sat next to bar. Next time we’ll do the hightops.
Will definitely return.
Food and service were excellent! We ate outside which was nice, but on a busy sidewalk. Inside was so loud you could not even hear person next to you.
Good food. Great initial waiter. But totally weird and out of control system kitchen order and table matching system which doesn’t work worth a damn. It started a little shaky and went to the most bizarre extreme where I watched part of our order carried to wrong tables, other parts of the restaurant. Disappear then reappear on serving trays begins finally having someone attempt to deliver our order to us. I refused this belated delivery and things disintegrated from there. Our meal was truncated. We never did get to complete the intended small plate dinner. And we apologized to our initial waiter and gave him a cash tip rather than place a tip on my credit card.
Until this establishment gets people trained, their order and serving
SW debugged, I would strongly recommend avoiding this place.
As an example of their inept lack of control, the attached Invoice fir food and beverages isn’t our order. And the total do not reflect what we were charged nor my credit card receipt. No excuse.
I love Level's ever-changing small plates and specialty drinks menu. We had scallops with pea puree, a tiny slice of lemon set pea tendril and a dash of perhaps smoked paprika, wh was so nice we ordered it twice. We sat outside at a table on the sidewalk, so the noise level was street stuff rather than interior, but it was a decent time of day (most commuters had done commuting, and I enjoyed the people who passed, some with pooches, and those in the cars at the close-by light. It was quiet enough on a Wednesday, esp during what we are still dealing with vis a vis Covid, that there were also not many people inside. The service was superlative. Our waitress must have been standing by the window because each time we finished something she came out again. We had to wait hardly at all. Lovely.
This is my husband’s favorite place in Annapolis and I like it as well. We love the food options and that we can eat vegetarian if we choose. The service is always great. We love how they have seasonal menus however this visit didn’t feature as much to our liking as some past ones have. We had an issue with one selection and they replaced it lickety split. We love that I can always get their delicious gimlet and husband can his favorite beer. He did mention that if a beer is coming from a bottle, they should bring the bottle to the table rather than pour it into a glass at the bar for whatever that’s worth. Overall, a solid 4 stars!
Terrific as always!
Fantastic service thanks to Kate
Amazing food and service.
Wonderful service and our favorite dishes were the tuna tartare and cauliflower. Fresh and healthy restaurant!
We sat outside and had a wonderful evening. Our waitress, Sydney, was personable, knowledgeable, and fun to have as our guide through the menu. The food was amazing (as expected). Overall, very happy with our experience.
We had a wonderful dinner last night at Level. Sydney our wait staff person did a superb job of recommendations for our order. We came in as tired and hungry travelers and left feeling great. Thank you Level and Sydney.
The food here was delicious, but sadly the service was really off. Our waiter was doing his best but was distracted. Our drink didn’t arrive until half way through out meal. There seemed to be no system for getting the right dishes to right tables except for the food staff to go table to table asking whether or no people had ordered the dish. It also seemed that many of the younger staff weren’t trained… hostess had no welcoming skills, dropped our menus on our table and kept on trucking. We were curious why she gave us the happy menu at 7:30. Only at the end of our meal did we find out that there was a specials menu we never saw.
All these problems are fixable but attention needs to be given to management here. Food in the other hand was delicious.
Service was spot on!
All shared dishes beautifully presented and delicious.
Best Gimlet ever!
Looking forward to next visit to Level.
The menu is delightful, with a variety of choice, all very well prepared. A very enjoyable experience.
Excellent food, excellent service; it was my first time at Level Small Plates, it definitely will not be my last.
Nice restaurant in an historic building. Nice menu selection. But surprised when my wife asked how the coffee was and the waiters answer was “eh, so so”. Strange way to start a meal. Nice small plates selection. The food was very good. The service was, at times, slow. Ordered an aperitif with my dessert but it wasn’t served until after my dessert was done. But most important— be aware, this restaurant is extremely loud, at least in the upstairs room in which we were seated.
5 of my girlfriend’s and I went out for a birthday dinner. We ordered practically everything on the menu with the exception of two things from each section. All of our absolute favorite dishes were the goat cheese cheesecake and the flourless chocolate cake. Our only flaw was that we wish our waitress had been a little more attentive for us to order plates and drinks faster, there were some long lulls in between ordering. But overall one of our favorite places in Annapolis!
Cozy and unpretentious. Great food. Knowledgeable staff. Would have liked more wine and dessert variety. Great first date, soulmate, or group experience!
The Peach Brulee chef special was amazing!
The food is great and the craft cocktails are very innovative and delicious. It is very popular due to the great food and atmosphere, but that does make it very noisy.
The food and service were excellent. This was my second eating here and already can't wait to go back and try more items off the menu. The BBQ pork ribs were amazing!
Really great dining experience at level. We enjoyed our cocktails, food was delicious, and our server was quite nice and helpful. I look forward to going back.
The restaurant is following COVID guidelines with well spaced seating. Star is short so service may take a little longer than usual. The food quality was very good except for the Butcher Steak. The steak was done to order but was very tough. Would not order that again. Everything else was up to their usual standards and very enjoyable. We went a little earlier than we normally would have to avoid any crowd so the restaurant was quieter than usual except for the group at the bar. For a dinner date or an outing with friends this always offers a variety of tapas offerings to suit almost every palate. Will always keep this on my restaurant rotation.
The food was flavorful and delicious. The plating and presentation were creative and vibrant…and the service was friendly and attentive!
It was my first time at Level!! I look forward to another experience of culinary delight!
Food was relatively good but over priced. The cocktails were excellent.
Just a perfect experience in every way. The food was spectacular service was fantastic. What more can I say
We were in Annapolis for the night and were looking forward to innovative small plates on a sidewalk or patio. When we arrived we were seated on blacktop surrounded by orange lane closure barricades. No table covering or centerpiece just black metal table.
They told us they stopped making crab cakes due to price increases. The server forget our drink orders. The food was good for the most part but for some dishes the portion sizes were very small even for small plates/ tapas style. On a positive note we enjoyed the tacos, tuna tartare, and fries. Just a bit of improvement in ambience, professionalism, service, and portion sizes would make this a real contender for very good.
Food was incredible, service was over the top wonderful
Food was very average and the waitstaff was really slow to clear plates. Very noisy and hard to hold a conversation.
Food was great. The drinks were outstanding! Sidney was a great server, and gave us great recommendations.
Our waitress was attentive and made great recommendations
