Great dinner stop en route to Mayan theater. Excellent white sangria, also prickly pear mocktail was perfect for warm summer night. Enjoyed the empanadas and tacos. We'll b back.
Went there for our anniversary. The food was great and our server was very friendly, knowledgable, and accommodating. The chicken empanada was outstanding!
Deliciously different menu will definitely come back!
The food was amazing! There was something on the menu for everybody's taste! The service was timely and the atmosphere was calm and quiet. We went because it was one of the places on the Denver Passport and it did not disappoint!
Have visited several times and the food has never disappointed. First time for my husband and he was just as impressed and reports that the margarita was amazing.
Second time back and as good as we remember from the first time.
The food was good but not worth the price. I would recommend the empanadas de pollo though
Unfortunately the restaurant was very understaffed the night two of us went to eat with a reservation. They had seated someone else at our table but gave us the last available table. Our server appeared to be the only waiter (or maybe one other) so he was overworked but very polite. The food came out randomly: first the side dish, then the main meat for one, finally the entree for me. White sangria was too sweet. Hanger steak was not cooked at all as requested. Overall the food was still tasty. The restaurant is extremely loud.
My husband and I LOVE this restaurant. We’ve come several times for dinner and were so excited to share this place with his family for Father’s Day. While the food was as delicious as always, there was a big disappointment on the service end. All of our food came out at different times, as in my brother in law received his meal 45 minutes before his wife got hers, and the rest of us were scattered in between so we all ate at different times. We made the most of it, and when the food did come it was excellent. Our waitress eventually stopped checking on us or making eye contact but the bartender was very professional, noticed our frustration and tried his best to help make it an enjoyable meal. I’ve seen him there every time I’ve visited before, and just want to acknowledge that he is passionate about what he does and the success of where he works. We will definitely go back as we are hoping this was just a fluke experience. I think the big takeaway for patrons is that things happen like being short staffed or unexpected party sizes which slow things down, but also for Lena to acknowledge the service could have been improved with better communication and customer service from the wait staff.
Service was poor, we were seated upstairs even though there was plenty of room downstairs so the ambience was nil. The food was not as good as we had remembered.
Great quality tequilas. Atmosphere was amazing.
Great happy hour specials as well.
Great restaurant, excellent location, and wonderful service. Would else could you ask for?
Pretty disappointing. It had been awhile since we had been to Lena, and we thought we liked it a lot. My problem is that the menu is just too limited. When I look at, there's only a couple of things I even want to eat. The shrimp chorizo dish had been one of our favorites, but it seemed very dry and overcooked. Octopus civeche is very good, but I don't think we'll be going back anytime soon.
Hood for sharing. Good eclectic food for all people who are somewhat adventurous. Can see how menu would accommodate dietary restrictions. Good drink menu, good service if a bit slow. Definitely a good new/fledgling foodie spot. Try it, you’ll like it.
Great service, beautifully seasoned dishes, but very loud - we had a hard time hearing each other over the noise.
Went with a group of 8, 2 of which were teenage boys. Food was very good, plates are small tapas style so we ended up with 12 dishes and 3 or 4 sides plus 6 desserts. Food came out steadily and allowed for easy sharing. Service was friendly and responsive. Overall a very pleasant evening!
We have been to Lena several time over the last few years - it keeps improving, and last night May 4 spectacular. The ceviche - so good - just perfect. Also loved the shrimp and chorizo, the tacos de costilla and chicken empanadas. This place is fantastic. We will keep coming back. Love it.
Had no expectations and were really delighted with our experience. Friendly and fast service.
We each an an empanada order of two (the dough on the chicken is very tender whereas the verde is totally different and hard). The flank steak was so delicious. We split the meat order and left very full. Very reasonable . Parking is challenging on Broadway. Next time we'll have the steak again but try the asparagus.
Outstanding service, food, and ambiance. Our server was one of the best I've had in a long time. Food portions could be a bit bigger for the price, but Lena is still in line with most good Denver eateries.
Great food. Great service. My current favorite. Great place to bring the family.
Great Food! Was one of the first to show up on a Sunday morning! So we had the place to ourselves!!
This place was wonderful. I don’t know the last time I had food that good out at a restaurant. Our only complaint was the slow service. I don’t know where our server kept going but sometimes it would be 20+ mins before she’d reappear.
Went to Leña for my birthday and it was perfect! I loved the grilled haloumi and the octopus ceviche as well as the chicken empanada. Their house margarita is delicious and the rest of the cocktail menu is so creative. Our server was very gracious and attentive despite my obnoxious birthday attitude. ;)
Great service, we're impressed by the food. Very good!
the octopus ceviche is great! Would go back for that.
Fun. Latin inspired. Enjoyed the small bites menu options on the brunch menu. Our group enjoyed the different flavors of mimosas too! Great service with a earthy environment.
Great food, a little noisy (all hard surfaces) good happy hour prices. Empanadas especially good.
Good food and really great happy hour prices! Their margaritas are delicious, made with lime juice and agave, not the gross marg. mix.
Didn’t actually get to eat. The bottom is really cute with nice lighting and music but even with open tables down there, they sat us in some top part that fees like you’re the ugly patrons stuck in the attic. We asked to move down and they accommodated that Witt an attitude. Then we didn’t get service for 10+ minutes even though several servers walked by and chatted with the tables on either side of us. We ended up walking out. If I’m going out for a nice dinner, I expect better than average service and this was no service at all. Do not recommend and I hope Lena sees this so their servers realize how rude and disgusting their behavior was.
Great food, ceviche not to be missed and the tres leches is to die for.
Charming restaurant with a vibrant and interesting menu. Lovely wine list. They were able to accommodate some dietary issues/restrictions with no problem at all - and a friendly attitude about it. Everyone in our party was thrilled with the food and ambiance. Thanks!!
Absolutely amazing every time - great food, service and ambiance!
as always, delicious atmosphere, delightful staff, fabulous cocktails.
A tremendous find. You can count on us to be back again
Hidden gem for sure! Great deal on bottomless mimosas on Sundays and the brunch was delicious! Will become a regular at this spot.
The service and atmosphere was wonderful and would definitely recommend it !
Delicious meal and they easily accommodated our large party. Great service and a great time.
Lovely, perfect neighborhood spot. Authentic, delicious Latin food, great friendly service.
A delicious dinner of small plates with a great bottle of wine and terrific service. The ceviche is wonderful, but then again, so were the tacos, fish, small biscuits, and empenadas.
