Established in the heart of Palm Springs since 1973, Le Vallauris located at the foot of San Jacinto Mountains has been the highest rated restaurant in the Coachella Valley since its inception. The exquisite cuisine at Le Vallauris is prepared by Executive Chef, Jean-Paul Lair, who has graced the restaurant for over 25 years. The Historic Landmark was built in 1927 as a home for the Roberson family, who managed Palm Springs' first hotel, The Desert Inn. Many grand parties were held in the house for guests such as Duke Ellington, Nat King Cole, Louis Armstrong and many more. Later on, when the restaurant was established it became a favorite place for Presidents and the Hollywood elite. The renowned patio, adorned with giant Ficus trees, is THE place to dine. The patio is cooled in the Summer and heated in the Winter.

Le Vallauris has developed a famous reputation for outside caterings from 2 to 500 guests. The key to success is that Chef Jean Paul prepares all the food on site, no pre-cooked food is kept in hot boxes for a whole day! Le Vallauris has catered to parties as far as Laguna Beach at the coast. A professional service staff is used to give unobtrusive and friendly service. Weddings and Corporate events are their specialty. Comprehensive packages are available to accommodate budgets. Le Vallauris includes in its packages for up to 200 guests all the equipment needed except tables and chairs.
Private party facilities
Le Vallauris has 2 inside dining rooms for private parties each one with a capacity for up to 50 persons. The Patio can also be used on a "buy out" basis for up to 150 persons and a tree shaded Gazebo is available for up to 100 guests. These facilities are able to use an array of "prix fixe" menus.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. The menu is very unique and always presented on an easel at the table. Great old school service with modern dining options and very fresh ingredients. Can't wait to go back!

Every time we visit Palm Springs, first reservation I make. From the greeting at the door by Alec, the drinks poured by Carlos and dinner served by Guillen, all was exceptional! Food was delicious. Escargots were perfectly buttered and seasoned, the chicken was delightfully flavorful. I just love the overall experience!

La Valluris restaurant exceeded our expectations with its delightful atmosphere and exceptional cuisine. The braised beef was tender and packed with flavor, the beet salad was a refreshing balance of earthy and tangy notes, and the seared ahi tuna was a true culinary delight. The ambience of the restaurant was perfect for our celebratory dinner, adding to the overall experience. Excellent service and friendly staff. It was indeed a memorable evening, making the birthday celebration all the more special.

Fantastic place! We went for lunch and were very pleasantly surprised by the whole champagne/menu-experience. We came all the way from LA, and it's hard to find better in terms of price/quality. This is a gem compared to other high-end places in Palm Springs. I would come back in a heartbeat!

The choices & quality of food is not as good as it was before the restaurant was sold 2 years ago. They have added lots of caviar dishes and fewer other appetizes. We have been coming here for the past 20 years over Memorial Day weekend and last year & this week the decreased food choices have discouraged us. We will not return next year.

Going to upscale restaurantes in resort towns like Palm Springs can be big risk. If you travel a lot and spring for “fine dining experiences” then you know what I’m talking about. This place is not that. Everyone from the host, to the servers to the chef and even the busers are doing their absolute best to make you feel not just attended to, but welcomed in the space. The food was thoughtful, delicious and absolutely worth the price. there was not a single dish that didn’t require intricate prep and execution in order to live up to the expectation. Came here on a romantic date with my spouse and we were not disappointed.

Overall very good dining experience but the food does not deliver compared to the price point. We really liked the escargot but the mains were a bit disappointing: both the lamb and the fish were cooked correctly but didn’t have too much flavor. Same for the desert - we had the creme brulee and the taste was unimpressive compared to other restaurants. 5* for the service and ambience (gorgeous patio).

Amazing Sunday brunch. The food was fantastic - beautifully presented, carefully prepared & seasoned, appropriate portions. Ambience romantic, classy casual yet also welcoming and family friendly. Breezy rotating air conditioning with shady trees and chirping birds as well. Service top notch. Staff noticed things like tippy table and empty glasses and took care for our experience without hesitation. As restaurant got busier they were no less attentive. We will definitely be back for dinner, heard it’s even more romantic with twinkle lights in the trees!

Everything was perfect last night as far as the food, beverage, and atmosphere. Cruz was fantastic! We loved the dinner and it's a lovely venue for a special occasion, which this was. One thing happened at the end of dinner which totally put a damper on the experience. Our waiter, who had been great until this happened, had rattled off the special appetizers and entrees at the beginning of the evening without sharing any prices. I asked about a particular appetizer, and he quoted me $18. When I perused the bill, I noted I had been charged $25 for that item. I mentioned it and his response was "they must have changed the price." He handed me back the tablet without adjusting the price. It's general principle--not the $7. I asked if he was going to make an adjustment and he responded, "no, that's the price." He represents the establishment and a customer should be able to rely on the information he shares. Who's to say I would have ordered that item at that price. I've never seen such an unprofessional action at such an elegant, upscale restaurant small as it was monetarily. I adjusted the tip downward a bit, but was still left with a bad taste. Lastly, I found a lovely bottle on page two (wines by the glass) but there are very few choices under $100. Personally with about a 15 page wine list, I think you could add some more wines in the $50-$80 range. We spent over $350 and enjoyed every cent of it, but we'd have been closer to $500 with a typical bottle on your list.

We dined here twice in one week. Both times were exceptional. On the first visit we made new friends of our server Lane and the manager, Olivier. On the second visit they remembered us and were very kind, as was the bartender Carlos, and the hostess, who must be related to either the French manager or the chef. We both had specials of the night, sweetbreads, duck (twice, two different preparations). They were artfully presented, ingredients were fresh and flavorful, and the portions were more than ample. I wish I lived nearby and could go every week. It is real French food, with a fantastic wine list. Can not wait to return!!!! Merci!

The food and service here is impeccable. From Marilyn at the front desk who made us feel like family, to our servers Raymond & Linda, everything was indeed perfect. We brought our small dog Cosimo along who was welcomed as well. The patio is well kept and fully romantic. We splurged on the Kolikof Golden Ossetra 000 caviar which was served in a most elegant way. The classic vichyssoise soup was the best that I can remember ever enjoying. I almost hesitate to state how much we loved our dinner here for fear it will not be published thinking I'm somehow related to this restaurant. Hardly, it was our first time there. The sole & lobster entrees were each cooked to perfection. The soufflé and grappa were a faultness completion to a great evening there. We will be back!

This is a perfect restaurant. Exquisite food, and a beautiful setting inside or out, and one of the best service experiences we’ve had. Incredible. Also, we dined with our two teenage daughters, and our server made them feel special and included.
