Supper club swanky. Our best meal in Palm Springs. Very high end.
Yes but please that bathroom was just dirty!
Looked like one from a gas station!
Excellent food and service. Especially liked the pate’.
Beautiful outdoor room, clusters of trees with soft well placed bundles of light. The service was excellent. No attitude just gracious. Sommelier was very helpful and just entertaining enough...a sweetheart. The duck was perfect, the Sea Bass had too many carrots but that was my fault...I hate carrots. Beet gazpacho was yummy but the best appetizer was the escargot...and well it should be at Le Vallauris.
We look forward to our next visit.
We visit Palm Springs about once a year and try hard to get to Le Vallauris. This year we brought friends and they loved it too.
Wonderful service, great restaurant. Not to be missed if you visit Palm Springs
Dressed up for the restaurant, service is really good
Another wonderful evening at our favorite PS French restaurant! The pre fix menu was just fantastic . Service and ambiance, always the best . You will not be disappointed
We particularly appreciated the excellent service provided by Chris our waiter.
When we showed up, they showed the reservation for two people, not five, so there was some confusion. They did get us a table and all was well, but didn't start off great. The service at the table was excellent and the food was delicious.
This is out second time at Le Vallauris. We were celebrating a birthday.
It was raining so our plans to sit outside were foiled. But we had a nice corner table in the main dining room. I have to say that the room was pleasant, but packed with people and the noise level was ridiculous.
Everyone was happy with their food. The service was ok, but we had to ask for water and because we were crowded into the corner, there was a lot of reaching over people to deliver drinks, silverware and food which I wouldn't expect in a restaurant of this quality. I still rate the evening highly since I am certain that all of us patio people were added to the main room once the rain began making for much more cramped quarters, and certainly Le Vallauris can't control the weather. I am certain that we will be back.
Perfect evening. The food was phenomenal. Very classic French. We were just in Paris a few weeks ago, and our meal transported us back. The staff were so attentive and pleasant. Very special place.
Le Vallauris is normally my go-to restaurant for a fine, romantic meal in Palm Springs. I have to give them a bit of a hall pass because this reservation was on a rare rainy day, so that in stead of the magical atmosphere of the outdoor courtyard under the tree canopy, our tables were arranged in the piano lounge. To start out, they did not have my Open table reservation (even though I had confirmed). They nevertheless found a table for us near the piano. Fortunately, the Musician played low in volume for us to have conversation. Another disappointment is that there was very little in choices for our Vegetarian palattes. The Caesar salad, a favorite of mine, was no longer served with the roasted Parmesan crust, but just a shaving of Parmesan Cheese. We had the Lobster ravioli, which was excellent, and the Grand Marnier soufflé for desert, which was heavenly. I truly missed the patio most of all. Service was excellent and attentive.
Our brunch was lovely- good food, perfect ambience. We always have a lovely time thete
Had to wait an hour for our table which really is not ecceptable. They did the best they could with a bad situation.
High end French inspired cuisine at its best. Menu designed to satisfy even the most discerning taste. My spouse is gluten free, her choice of appetizers and main course was not impacted by her condition. Impeccable service. Truly a special place.
The seating was a little uncomfortable but the food and service was great!
We went to Le Vallauris based upon its reputation. It was just good. First we were seated side by side at a banquette that desperately needs re-springing. We didn't like the sitting next to one another (rather than across) and requested a new table. The host seemed terribly put out - but we moved to a decent table in the rear (after being told there were no tables available in the patio). We were provided a wine list. I was looking for a nice white burgundy - but alas the page for white burgundy was missing. When i mentioned this to a sommelier, he looked at me like I had lost my mind. "Of course we have white burgundy", he said. I repeated (for the third time) that the PAGE for white burgundy in the wine list was missing. He reached over to another table and handed me a new wine list. I chose a nice Corton Charlemagne (wine list price $330). It came a few minutes later along with an ice bucket. When I tasted the wine, it was refrigerator cold (around 35 degrees) and, as such, tasteless. The server knew this and asked if perhaps I wanted to leave it out of the ice for a while to warm up. I said yes. It did warm up by the end of dinner and opened up nicely. After the first pour, we never saw a sommelier, or for that matter, anyone, who refilled our wine glasses when empty. I ordered the chef's tasting menu (lobster main course) while my wife ordered the prix fixe menu (sea bass main). The sea bass was nicely prepared and moist. The lobster was tasty, but the portion was silly: a small slice of body and two tiny claws (maybe 3/4"), with one of the claws mutilated during the shelling process. This was more akin to crayfish vs. lobster. Overall the food was good to very good - but not world-class. The service was good but not great - lots of people running around but not particularly attentive. I'd say the experience was good enough that we might give it another try sometime in the future to confirm the legitimacy of our first experience.
Upon entry to the restaurant, you see how the restaurant was created out of an old house - dining rooms were like rooms to a house with different sizes and shapes.
The appetizers were wonderful - a classic escargot, which did not disappoint and a "crunchy" salmon taco/egg roll that was delicious - never had anything like it. The rack of lamb was done nicely with a portion of five ribs. However, the roasted one-half duck was tough and was not a full half duck, though the chef and owner disagreed. Situation was not handled well until the restaurant manager stepped in and saved the day.
Dessert souffle was excellent. Service throughout was lacking and inattentive - felt like we were an afterthought once the waitress got busy. Bad interaction with the chef and owner left us feeling negative on the whole situation.
Date night with my husband while on vacation. The restaurant was amazing and everything we expected! I highly recommend without hesitation!
Always, so satisfied !!!!
House made smoked salmon is outstanding.
Always great food and service.
If you are looking for a charming and nice place to celebrate a special date, this restaurant is the place to go. Had a great time and the food was delicious.
It was a beautiful meal in a beautiful setting.
On our second visit we found the food to be excellent, presentation wonderful and service flawless. We had requested a table in the outdoor area but found the one we had was away from the heaters. The Maitre d’ worked hard to move us to a table closer to heaters. The owner then brought my wife a blanket for her legs. Service personified. Again this year we were fortunate to have Mark as our waiter. He is superbly professional and not afraid to offer his opinion on various menu selections.
The food was a bit bland, lacking in much flavor, but the front of the house staff was very attentive.
This was our second dinner at Le Vallauris in less than a week. We'd taken a houseguest for dinner on Friday. On Sunday, she announced that she wanted to take us out for a farewell dinner the evening before she departed. Her choice for the special occasion was Le Vallauris, and an excellent choice it was. She flew back to Chicago a new fan of our favorite Palm Springs restaurant.
This is a great place for fine dining! The food and service were both outstanding
This was the second time we had visited there. The first time was great. So I took my husband there for his birthday expecting the same. It was quite different. The waitress took our drink order. We had to ask for some bread. Then she came with the menu board & we made the selections. The food arrived in a reasonable time & was of the quality we had previously experienced. Then the waitress disappeared. She acted as if we did not exist & our table was empty. After 30 minutes the owner came by & I asked him if we might see the dessert menu. He was very gracious & brought us those & made recommendations. Someone else whom we'd not previously seen brought the dessert. The original waitress still did not appear. We finished & were waiting for the bill, but no one seemed interested. Finally I asked another waiter if we might have the check & he brought it. However, we could not get anyone to take the check. Finally we got up to head to the front desk. All of a sudden the original waitress appeared & said she would take the check. I told her we intended to pay the manager & discuss the problem with her. I told her that she was about the worst waitress I'd ever encountered. She completely ignored us. The manager was very apologetic & graciously deducted the desserts from the bill & gave us his card & told us to please return & ask for him. This waitress needs to find another line of work.
As always, a lovely time was had by all (3) of us.
This is as fine a dining experience as there is in Palm Springs. The food, service, ambience are above reproach. Every customer is treated like a regular. In our top five restaurants anywhere.
First class experience in every way. Staff exceptionally professional. Best meal we’ve ever had in Palm Springs.
Great restaurant that we’ve been a few times. The food and service has always been great. This time we were inside where the tables were a bit tight. Try to sit int patio garden area.
The outdoor setting is lovely and well heated for cool nights. Beautiful French cuisine at its finest. You can’t go wrong with choosing anything on the menu - simply delicious. Wonderful and attentive staff.
The escargot, quail and lobster ravioli were all deliciously prepared, beautifully presented and served. We had a wonderful experience and plan to visit this restaurant again soon.
Service was amazing as always. Food was over the top delicious. Still among my top favorite places for special occasions.
We've been frequenting Le Vallauris for five years. The food and staff consistently surpassed expectations. It is our go-to place for special occasions and to show out-of-town guests what fine dining in Palm Springs is all about.
