From the moment we approached the patio we were pleasantly surprised by the brilliance of the place with its huge ficus trees illuminated beautifully, followed by top notch service. The food and the wine were absolutely superb. It really complimented a very special evening for my husband and me. Two thumbs up for sure!
Great food and fantastic service
We went for dinner for my husbands birthday.
ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTFUL EXPERIENCE!
Felt personal, classy and romantic :)
If you are in the mood for a more fancy experience that is not quite fussy, with very good food. This is the place.
Outstanding opportunity for food and service like no where else!
The food is absolutely first class. The carrot curry chilled soup was so amazingly good. The blue crab cake with sauce was delicious and filling. The salmon was perfectly cooked, a generous portion and delicious.
It was the perfect way to spend our wedding anniversary.
The patio was shady, cool and romantic. We got there at 6:30 on a 104 degree day—perfectly cool. The cocktail drinks were sexy. The service was top rate. We ordered the escargot (it’s a French restaurant for goodness sake) and the fixed menu. We had crab cakes, salmon, duck, soufflé and lava cake. Delicious! We’re coming back for sure!
Dinner at La Vallauris was Amazing! The meal was delicious and the service is impeccable. Bruce the Sommelier & Steven the waiter are world class!
Beautiful setting, good food and polished, attentive service are still found at Le Vallauris. A fine restaurant to celebrate special events, a bit pricey for less celebrative evenings out in Palm Springs.
Great for special occasions (we went during restaurant week otherwise it’s a bit pricey for us). Food and service were fabulous.
Always a pleasure to dine here!
Thank ´s to willy and all the team
It was perfect
By far the best restaurant we’ve experienced in Palm Springs. Best for special occasions and celebrations. Excellent menu, outstanding service. Absolutely a cut above any other PS establishments.
The service is friendly and attentive. The setting is beautiful, the food (especially dessert!) was great. It was a charming, enjoyable evening from start to finish.
Great food and excellent service from the front door and table and getting the car...
Somewhat disappointed that the charger plate at my place was soiled. Nobody seemed to notice. Of course it was removed for service. Bar service is very slow. My meal was almost finished before the glass of wine I ordered arrived, and that was only after reminding the server.
Le Vallauris never disappoints on either food or service. We took advantage of the restaurant week menu which was an amazing value. The duck breast stuffed with dates was delicious as was the sampler of three cold soups. The dessert of choice is always the soufflé which is light as air. Its extraordinary menu, carefully prepared dishes, varied wine list, and consistency make it a top Palm Springs dining venue.
Overall the evening was great. We did have to change tables because of a rather forceful fan from the cooler. I did feel there were too many tables, causing an overcrowded feel. The use of easel style menus adds to that feel. I loved the fact that the owners came around to so hello at every table. The main dish my husband had was so so, serving sizes almost too big.
Would I go back- yes!
Great restaurant week experience! Delicious and classy.
Fantastic food, attentive staff, old world civility
Beautiful ambiance, attentive service and impressive menu
Always meets high end expectations! Will be back soon.
Beautiful outdoor setting
We had excellent service and exceptional food in a beautiful outdoor setting. We enjoyed our meal so much.
Been here every time We visit Palm Springs and service was great from Fernando and the manager OMAR HADDEDOU coming to the table to make sure everything was good .
Beautiful restaurant. Service was exceptional until the end when water glasses not filled and some other minor lapses. (We were one of the last parties there.) One surprising thing--- 3 of us had the hanger steak. 2 of us had it medium rare which I almost always enjoy. The third had it medium well, and it was better with this cut! A bit crispy on the outside and did not lose any taste as most steaks do if cooked beyond medium rare.
Only suggestion, while I love the traditional French fare, I think that the recipes could be updated a bit.
Both of us ordered Rack of Lamb although the lamb was delicious the sauce was a tomato based. Too acid. Please offer another option.
Mint/ Berry / Apricot...
Lovely restaurant, particularly the outdoor patio. Excellent service, friendly staff. On the expensive side for everyday dining, but a great choice for a special occasion. My dining companion and I took advantage of the Palm Springs Restaurant Week $49 three-course dinner option. The chilled soup trio and beet salad choices were wonderful. The desserts (Baked Alaska and walnut torte) were outrageously rich; next time we will share! The entrees were tasty, but not outstanding.
We were celebrating our anniversary and couldn't have done it in a better place. We felt special from the moment we arrived. We had requested a particular server and was promptly seated at a very nice outdoor table on the patio. The rest is history and is the reason I gave our experience 5 stars. Everything was perfect and we will be back. Thank you to everyone for making our day special!
One of the best meals I have ever had. Steve was an outstanding server and made our brunch experience simply wonderful. We can't wait to go back!
There is no better restaurant in the entire Coachella Valley than "Le Val" when it comes to creating an environment where the food, service and ambiance are equally perfect. We celebrated our friends' birthday by hosting a very "civilized" (read Champagne and fabulous French Burgundy wine) brunch that had everyone eating off of the other's plates. The brunch menu is incredibly reasonable for the quality of the classic French/Mediterranean food and the wine list is as good as you will find in major city's best restaurants. Omar and Paul are the perfect hosts and we cannot find enough superlatives to describe this restaurant.
We booked a table during restaurant week but didn’t end up ordering off the Restaurant Week menu and I’m glad we didn’t. The sautéed lobster in vanilla butter was probably one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Highly recommended. Service was friendly and efficient...once the manager noticed we had been sitting there for quite a while without a server. We were pleasantly surprised to find live music in the lounge. Unfortunately the lounge smells like a porta-potty at the end of Coachella Festival so you’re going to want to sit as far away as possible from the lounge. We were hoping to stay for a drink after dinner and listen to the music, but couldn’t handle the smell.
The server asked if I would like him to pour the sauce on my soufflé. I said no thank you, and with out missing a beat, the server poured the sauce. He knocked a piece of the soufflé on the table which he picked up with his fingers and dropped on my plate.
It was also very tight. I had waiters bumping into me all night.
Excellent food, great service, fantastic ambience. The waiters were very professional as well as personable.
I loved the food. Was disappointed to be dressed up in a fancy dress, and my husband in a suit and tie, and then seated next to a family of 4, in tee shirts and shorts with an infant. I have always known Le V to be an elegant, fine dining establishment. That aspect was disappointing.i hope you don’t lose what has always made you so great as a restaurant.
Everything was perfect... walked in and was greeted with happy birthday after dinner had my desert that I order and then came another one with a candle. A perfect birthday dinner. The owners of the restaurant always come by and say hello.
I unfortunately had high expectations. We were first seated at a table near the door to the bar and outside. So a lot of disruption. We ordered a bottle of wine and the sommelier had trouble opening the bottle and he definitely was a smoker. When he came to our table he reeked of smoke.
The wait staff were superb; attentive without being intrusive.
The food was OK but we won’t be back.
The person who was walking around asking how we were doing needs lessons in what is appropriate to say to female guests. He noticed one of our female friends hadn’t eaten all her dessert and stated he would have to take her in the back room and spank her!!
Perhaps it was an off night due to restaurant week!!
I was expecting it to be a bit stuffy and old school but was pleasantly surprised how amazing everything was. The food is the best in Palm Springs. I had the trio of chilled soups to start. The portions were the perfect size and each one was more delicious than the next. The service was impeccable and welcoming. The ambiance is intimate and elegant. I can’t wait to go back.
Always a terrific experience here. Food and service are exemplary.
