We are a neighborhood restaurant bar with new american cuisine influenced by local flavors.
The service and food were top notch. The noise level inside was horrific even for a Saturday night. The hostess was seemingly playing games having us sit at the bar and wait for a table then seating us inside despite a preference for outside. We noticed later that there were tables available outside.
Horrible! This place was my favorite restaurant in LA. I wanted to take my mom for her birthday. Called in advance to make sure that everything will go fine yet they treated us horribly. They made us wait an hour straight and mixed the orders. Was not a great experience at all. I am disappointed.
Great time and service and awesome bartenders Kyle is the best
Great! The Patio/Terrace is actually very nice! We had the brussels sprouts, truffle fries and a pizza and a cocktail. We paid $65 bucks per person and we hang in the bar after our dinner (you cant stay in the patio after 11 pm).
Great place for a drink or dinner, good crowd and ambiance
Me and my husband took some friends here from out of town, so I wanted a special evening. I asked for a table in the courtyard, but when I got to the restaurant, they were prepared to seat me inside...and I was ready to complain lol, but alas, the night turned out very well--they sat us outside. The server, Eva was great, very attentive but not overbearing. The ribs were a little too spicy, but the other food was perfect. Eva recommended a Zinfandel that was awesome too. Overall four out of five.
One of my favourite places in Los Angeles. Ended up going Friday, Saturday and Sunday for the food.
Great location/restaurant- I've been 1x before and it was just as good as I remember. Quite the scene and a good place to bring an out of town friend for an LA experience.
Great, swanky vibes for casual or nice drinks and grub. I'd highly recommend for anyone looking for high quality ambiance and drinks for an affordable price!
I’ve eaten at Laurel Hardware many times. Usually fine — but not this time. Sat in their pretty garden. Anything good ended there. The service was terrible to non-existent. They were woefully understaffed. They brought the wrong food. Cheeseburgers ordered rare came out well done and inedible. Signature cocktails were not tasty. The staff was completely without empathy for all the mistakes and the fact that we waited almost an hour to get terrible or incorrect orders. A lousy experience all the way around.
Laurel Hardware is my favorite restaurant in LA. It's so trendy and the food and service is amazing, too. I love this place!
Had a great time. Was my friends’ first time at Laurel and they loved it. Definitely hope to be back soon
Great happy hour! Will definitely go back again. The food was great and the wine was tasty.
The food was good. Service pleasant but slow. And they were out of some things we ordered. But overall, a nice experience. We sat in the pretty courtyard, which is much quieter than the main bar/restaurant.
Food was great and came fast
I really wanted to love this place. Nice esthetic and vibe. It was loud, but not in a way that makes it seem fun. 45 minutes went between appetizer and main, with no server in site. No apology for this. We lost interest in our mains after the wait. They tasted good, but the amount of salt they put in the food was shocking and I was up all night drinking water and very swollen the next day. There are many better restaurants, so why bother here?
Service was terrible. They forgot half of our food order. Half the table got their entrees while the other half waited for over 20 min. Go for the bar, not worth it for anything else.
Food is good.
Recommend duck fried rice, which really made me wanna come back again.
And love the ambiance!
No one wants to sit at the low table, but the restaurant still keeps them.
Every time in town I make it a point to go to Laurel Hardware. The food is delicious (the lollipop sprouts and the branzino are my favorites!), the prices are very fair and the service is excellent. Always a great dining experience!
Noise lever low on the outside terrasse and extremely high inside
Hostess was so nasty. She gave away our table before the grace period, and acted like she was doing us a favor by putting us back on the list ahead of walk ins and seating us 35 minutes later. She gave me a “listen honey...” talking to when I pointed out that squeezing extra chairs into the middle of large groups at the communal table wasn’t our original set up. I have never been spoken to like that by anyone in the service industry in my life. Our waitress was lovely but the hostess had already set such a sour tone for the night it was barely salvageable.
The patio is beautiful and much quieter
Extremely noisy inside
The staff is friendly and the food is good. I see why this place remains popular after all these yeArs
Great vibes for casual/special night out. Mushroom pizza is amazing.
My waiter was very good. The music is old school r&b which is always good. Great vibes
Top notch, especially in the courtyard. Service was NYC level professional.
So overrated. The spaghetti was tasty but oversalted. The crudo needed flavor and acidity or something to not make it dry. Even the margarita was tasteless.
On top of all of that, we made a reservation and were still seated outside in the cold while there were several empty tables inside. The host was rude and unattentive, saying nothing to us when we walked in then asking our party of 3 if we were ok squeezing in between couples on the communal table that only fit 2. Then when he sat us outside, explained how they didn't have gas for the heaters. What a waste of a place.
Be careful if you need an early dinner because Opentable gives you early reservations but they don't serve food until 6pm.
We were only seated for an hour still drinking , and two of us had already spent over $200 on food and drinks with more drinks in mind when the hostess approached and asked in a rude tone “ are you going to order food ?” As if we didn’t reserve our table or already spend money there with intentions to spend more. The food and drinks were delicious but the service was terrible, and while we intended to continue to order their drinks we left because it didn’t seem like our business was wanted
Great spot. Solid food and service. Nice chic vibe and sexy.
The food is okay. The only reason I’d go back are for drinks. The noise level is too intense on top of the music.
One of the worst dinner experiences of my life in LA. The manager essentially accused me of lying about my bill after I was charged for something that had been offered to me after a series of miscommunications led to my party being seated 45 minutes after the reservation. Manager was unapologetic and had terrible customer service. Prices were high for the amount of food, restaurant was very loud. Not worth the hype. Skip this place. Granville in Weho, better value, and you can avoid this manager.
The pizza was delicious. I don't know why you can't add items to the pizza. Pepperoni and mushrooms!
Service was fast. Bread pudding is awesome! Great date night.
It was really noisy and communication was very hard, you can't really have a conversation. But amazing place!
Food was delicious!
Amazing food andambiance
My friends and I went there for Sunday brunch. As it turned out, they no longer had the brunch menu that was posted on their website (we decided to go there after looking at the menu on their website). We ordered a fried calamari, a chopped salad, a truffle fries, a Margherita pizza, French press coffee, and some drinks. The calamari and the truffle fries were good, but I probably wouldn't pay $14 for the fries again especially considering the small portion. The salad was dreadful. I know this is West Hollywood where fat is a no no. But the salad had very little dressing/oil. It felt very dry -- like eating salad straight out of a bag. The dressing was also way too sour. The pizza took a loooooong to come out, and it was warm and not hot -- probably it had been left on the counter for some time before it got served to us. The French press was veeeeeeeery watered down. I've had better coffee at my mechanic while waiting for oil change, for free. Lastly, the cocktails we ordered, at $16 each, tasted like pure lemon juice with no alcohol. I don't mind sour drinks, but they need to taste good, and these ones did not. And for the price, you can get way better drinks elsewhere.
Well at least the ambience was good.
Always a reliably good meal. Lively, with variety of seating options. I was nearly 40 mins late for my own reservation due to traffic but we were still seated promptly when I did finally arrive.
