Our server was extraordinary! The food was, as usual, outstanding.
We were meeting friends at Vail and had never been to Larkspur for lunch. Location at Golden Peak was perfect and we were able to sit inside but at a window.
Food was delicious. My husband and I each ordered breaded veal and it was very good and a good value
Our servers were attentive and helpful
We thought some of the entrees seemed overpriced but everyone’s meal was tasty and nicely presented
While researching for what to eat on our snowboard trip to Vail and Beaver Creek, my hubby saw this Larkbuger at Larkspur at the base of Golden Peak in Vail.
We came to have lunch at the bar area after our morning rides at Vail. They also have the back room for fine dinning. We were seated by the window overlooking the slope which happened to be the US Open Men Slopestyle semi-finals was held.
Our server was really friendly and the food we ordered was pretty good. I had the grilled cheese sandwich which come with tomato soup and salad, and my hubby had the Larkbuger of course. We were happy with our meal, it was a good find.
Great hospitality all the way around
Daniel, our waiter was perfect. Just the right amount of attention without being intrusive. Had gluten free pizza and it was really good
Our favorite lunch place on the mountain. Back there tomorrow
Perfect for mid afternoon mountain lunch. Nice fireplace for chilled skiers coming in from the slopes
Love the restaurant and food. Got the same waiter in the bar area who is not attentive at all. Don’t know his name, but he is so slow. I don’t want to wait for 20 minutes to get my check and have to flag him down, I want to ski! Other than that the food is always great.
Went for lunch where us non-skiers joined our skiers for lunch. While the Larkburgers were good, at $22 they were overpriced. The tomato soup at $13 for a small bowl tasted about the same as campbells. The french onion soup was good and filling. This restaurant has location and atmosphere but you definitely pay for it. If you don't care about the price, get the Larksburger, it is good.
Food came late and was cold.
Service excellent and food delicious.
Norm was outstanding!! Great service, great meal!
The service was excellent. The staff was very attentive but not overly so. We were seated for our reservation immediately. All staff worked together.
The food is excellent, well prepared and fresh. I go for the "lobster rocket sandwich", which is to die for. The fresh ingredients, superbly cut, mixed and combined on the ciabatta bread with aioli, is perfection. My only criticism is the decreasing size of the sandwich, and despite the drastic lowering of cost of lobster, there is less lobster on the sandwich, ( 1 ounce??) and a price of $37+ for this to die for sandwich. It is almost ridiculous, but one bite and you forget the cost.
The sweet potato chips, truffle fries and "fried chicken veal" lunch entree were delicious.
A great restaurant that I always go to in Vail. Just a new server that was very slow.
Service was terrible. Had a long wait to get our order taken, then the waitress informed us that they we out of one their entrees that three people in our group had ordered. On a Friday night, 730pm reservation, and only five entrees on the menu, they should not have run out of an entire menu item. When our food did come, the orders were wrong and had to be sent back. The food was pretty good which is the reason for two stars instead of just one. Then we had to wait 30 minutes for our check to come after asking for it. A manager never checked on us despite the numerous errors in service. Will not be going back or recommending.
Two of had the steak. Both were cold, undercooked and tough. This restaurant usually does far better!
Service was horrendous. They didn’t even take our order until an hour after we sat down. Then half out first courses didn’t arrive and those that did cane wrong. We have been coming for apres ski for years, but they were not on their game for dinner.
The menu was very limited despite having a varied menu as posted on website. There were few choices if you were not a meat eater. The manager apologized for the limited menu because of the difficulties the kitchen experienced the night before As fas as I am concerned I chose the restaurant because of the menu posted on line My kids ended up having macoroni and cheese for an excessive price of $11 which wasn't very good Although they tried to make things right there was nothing they could do when the menu was so limited We asked for pasta and they said no I would not recommend this restaurant if you have non meat eaters with you
Grateful to have had the chance to dine at the Larkspur!
Less than bad - it was awful.
I will strongly suggest that everyone I know avoid this place like the plague.
Shut it down.
Still excellent for lunch but only a shadow of its former excellence when it comes to dinner.
Great pizza. The rest of the food was cold and not very good for the price.
Terrible service, rude waiter. Had to send a burger back three times. None of our meals were cooked to the right done-ness, salads were drown in dressing. Restaurant was beautiful but the service and food was beyond subpar for such an overpriced restaurant.
Food was fabulous, but... they just switched to a Price Fixe menu and no one new what was going on! Our waiter tried to explain the menu but it was hard to hear him. 2nd and 3rd courses came at the same time. We were told over the phone they could accommodate gluten free and vegan diets - unfortunately this was not easy for the kitchen. The vegan main course was not even an appetizer size - even the waiter was embarrassed. 3 hour dinner. But again, food was fabulous!!
The staff was very rude. From the woman who answered the phone to the man that sat us. Our waiter seemed annoyed too. We are an interracial couple so maybe that had something to do with; seeing how the staff was extremely pleasant to everyone else. Very sad. Food was great though.
Always the highlight of our visit to Vail. Exceptional ambiance and food. Highly recommend!
Always the best food in Vail. A perfect experience. Chris was great as our waiter!
We had lunch with my family and it was great!! We sat at the patio and the view it's amazing, the food was excellent, was a great lunch overall.
I highly recomend Larkspur for a gruop meal or family encounter!
Thanks Larkspur's staff we had a great time there! Till the next seasson!
It was my 70th Birthday Dinner and as a guest in your country i am very pleased that i chose Larkspur restaurant to entertain my USA friends. The service that we received was outstanding and the way the evening ran was wonderful. I was delighted and compliment you on the attention to detail that was noted. Many thanks.
Excellent experience. Best cuisine, great presentations of selected items. An "executive" dining experience. Menu has excellent choices for all varieties of food. Wine list was superior. Wait staff were very accommodating. Daniel, our waiter, was superb.
An unpretentious magic of show of incredible service, great time with hospitable and top notch service.
Great time with absolutely implacable and attentive service. Highly recommended.
Had a group of 10 and we were well taken care of. Not inexpensive but nothing is cheap in Vail!
Consistently great. always look forward to returning for another meal!
Great service good food wished we had a table with a better view
Very slow. Waiter forgot my appetizer and also one of the main courses.
Very good restaurant near Vail Village. Excellent wine list and interesting choices. Slightly expensive but worth it.
Very surprised the food was not hot. The potatoes on the veal dish were cold. The restaurant was not very crowded so we are confused as to how the meal came out very quickly and was room temperature. The veal was very bland hardly any flavor and the spinach was salty. A disappointment.
We had fabulous time at Larkspur, the service was amazing, very attentive and professional, managers visited the table a few times during our meal. We really felt like royalty. The atmosphere was perfect. Highly recommended.
Larkspur did not disappoint, food was great and delicious and the service, well outstanding and it gave it a real family feel.
Best. Tomato soup. Ever. I do wish they'd bring back the mini grilled cheese variety sampler they used to serve the soup with, but it's still fabulous. Burger's very thick, served on a wonderfully light brioche bun; skinny fries get cold too soon but have good flavor. Doughnut balls w/ dipping sauce very tasty. Good espresso drinks and Champagne by the glass, Excellent, hospitable staff. Lovely dining room with comfortable booths, perfect lighting, beautiful glassed-in wine room. Really need at least a onesie within the restaurant/bar as opposed to having to trek all the way through the loud, crowded foyer to the bathrooms on the other side of the building. Ski-in @ Golden Peak.
