The service was excellent. The staff was very attentive but not overly so. We were seated for our reservation immediately. All staff worked together.
The food is excellent, well prepared and fresh. I go for the "lobster rocket sandwich", which is to die for. The fresh ingredients, superbly cut, mixed and combined on the ciabatta bread with aioli, is perfection. My only criticism is the decreasing size of the sandwich, and despite the drastic lowering of cost of lobster, there is less lobster on the sandwich, ( 1 ounce??) and a price of $37+ for this to die for sandwich. It is almost ridiculous, but one bite and you forget the cost.
The sweet potato chips, truffle fries and "fried chicken veal" lunch entree were delicious.

Service was terrible. Had a long wait to get our order taken, then the waitress informed us that they we out of one their entrees that three people in our group had ordered. On a Friday night, 730pm reservation, and only five entrees on the menu, they should not have run out of an entire menu item. When our food did come, the orders were wrong and had to be sent back. The food was pretty good which is the reason for two stars instead of just one. Then we had to wait 30 minutes for our check to come after asking for it. A manager never checked on us despite the numerous errors in service. Will not be going back or recommending.

The menu was very limited despite having a varied menu as posted on website. There were few choices if you were not a meat eater. The manager apologized for the limited menu because of the difficulties the kitchen experienced the night before As fas as I am concerned I chose the restaurant because of the menu posted on line My kids ended up having macoroni and cheese for an excessive price of $11 which wasn't very good Although they tried to make things right there was nothing they could do when the menu was so limited We asked for pasta and they said no I would not recommend this restaurant if you have non meat eaters with you

Terrible service, rude waiter. Had to send a burger back three times. None of our meals were cooked to the right done-ness, salads were drown in dressing. Restaurant was beautiful but the service and food was beyond subpar for such an overpriced restaurant.

Food was fabulous, but... they just switched to a Price Fixe menu and no one new what was going on! Our waiter tried to explain the menu but it was hard to hear him. 2nd and 3rd courses came at the same time. We were told over the phone they could accommodate gluten free and vegan diets - unfortunately this was not easy for the kitchen. The vegan main course was not even an appetizer size - even the waiter was embarrassed. 3 hour dinner. But again, food was fabulous!!

The staff was very rude. From the woman who answered the phone to the man that sat us. Our waiter seemed annoyed too. We are an interracial couple so maybe that had something to do with; seeing how the staff was extremely pleasant to everyone else. Very sad. Food was great though.

Very surprised the food was not hot. The potatoes on the veal dish were cold. The restaurant was not very crowded so we are confused as to how the meal came out very quickly and was room temperature. The veal was very bland hardly any flavor and the spinach was salty. A disappointment.

Best. Tomato soup. Ever. I do wish they'd bring back the mini grilled cheese variety sampler they used to serve the soup with, but it's still fabulous. Burger's very thick, served on a wonderfully light brioche bun; skinny fries get cold too soon but have good flavor. Doughnut balls w/ dipping sauce very tasty. Good espresso drinks and Champagne by the glass, Excellent, hospitable staff. Lovely dining room with comfortable booths, perfect lighting, beautiful glassed-in wine room. Really need at least a onesie within the restaurant/bar as opposed to having to trek all the way through the loud, crowded foyer to the bathrooms on the other side of the building. Ski-in @ Golden Peak.

I decided to visit Larkspur for dinner with my girlfriend, based on the positive first experience last year, We were treated so spectacularly from beginning to end, the restaurant is ran extremely professionally. The staff are very welcoming (hostess greeting us with smile) and friendly, amazing service by the staff, with having very knowledgeable not only servers that can help you out with the menu selection, but also having Managers who stop by at your table throughout your dinner offering so much hospitality. It was so romantic with a great atmosphere and lovely music in the background. This restaurant is definitely a place to go for lunch, brunch or dinner, regardless if its for business dinner or just family or friends.

Larkspur is always our favorite in Vail. The restaurant itself is beautiful, the food was to die for and the staff were amazing. The staff were so friendly, happy to chat and explain each course as well as cater for me with significant allergies. A lot of restaurants make a big deal of it, almost embarrassing me in the process. At Larkspur, they said they were aware of my allergies and would tweak the meal to fit my needs and that I wouldn't need to eat something different from regular menu.

Service was good. Ambiance is nice, but the food doesn’t deliver. Five entree choices, with one that is a $16 burger-just a regular burger. We’ve been here many times in the past, but the kitchen has changed and the flavors aren’t very exciting. Salmon was not very good and uninspiring flavors. Seafood bisque was tasty, but overpowered by saltiness.

The butter lettuce salad was appealing and delicious. The veal scaloppine was one of the best preparations I’ve ever had. The server was attentive and earnestly trying to do a good job, but a few things got muddled—such as presenting the wrong dish to several diners in our party. What struck me as most odd about the restaurant is it’s location, outside the village, in a mid-range ski lodge, attached to a ski in-ski out bar/restaurant. The restaurant’s lavatories were the lodge’s heavy duty, rather worn ski lodge facilities. ..odd when one is dressed for dinner to be surrounded by dirty slush. Still, that veal!!!
