Everything from start to finish was amazing. The table had cute “Happy Birthday” decor and they made my husband feel so special. We had oysters and the most delicious sourdough bread to start. The whipped butter was creamy with the perfect amount of garlic. The mignonette for the oysters was the perfect tartness to balance the sweetness of the oyster. I had the swordfish - took me back to eating in Hawaii. Hubbie had a delicious filet with scallops. It was everything I wanted him to experience on a milestone birthday!

The service and food were both fabulous, as usual. The Sicilian blood orange salad was absolutely lovely, as were our pasta dishes. Dessert was decadent, and accompanied our espresso martinis wonderfully. The only thing I wish had been different was the volume of the table next to us. It’s normal to hear an overall buzz of background noise, but one person at their table thought everyone around him needed to hear every word he was saying and it was just obnoxious. Why is it always the most dim-witted, uncouth person who decides to make themselves the loudest? It wasn’t even entertaining to overhear.

As always, great food, great service and we will definitely be back.

We were seated at our reservation time at a premium table. Our waitress was prompt, friendly, knowledgeable, attentive and efficient. Salad was unique and very flavorful. Small plate to share at Nichol’s recommendation, of scallops was outstanding. Main courses were again unique, flavorful, and exquisite. Desert was to die for. Best meals we’ve had, ever, in Seattle! Can’t wait to return.
