We were asked online and by the hostess if this was a special occasion; I said it was our anniversary. If they ask twice, seems like it would be acknowledged somehow. Several years ago they gave us a slice of cheesecake with Happy anniversary written on the plate. Not a big deal, but why ask? We will go back for sure— very good food. Our server was really great.
