Recently visited this restaurant, and it was an overall a very good experience. The food was great, with a couple of stand-out dishes. We started with the cheese empanadas and gambas al ajillo, which were both good. The shrimp had a perfect balance of flavor. For drinks, we had a piña colada, which was decent, and a pink mojito, which was definitely the better of the two. For entrees, we went with the seared ahi, which was perfect! The fish just melted in my mouth—definitely my favorite of the night. The mashed yuca it came with was great too. My bf had the salmon a la parilla, which he liked, though I found it a little too dry for my taste. It was much better with the sauce, though, which added great flavor. The salmon also came with beans, and I appreciated that they were vegetarian, so there were no surprises in terms of meat. We ended the night with the flan which was very creamy. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly. We asked him a few questions throughout the night, and he was always happy to share. The decor was fun, with little touches that gave a nice nod to Cuba—very charming! The restaurant wasn’t too busy, so the service was paced perfectly, and it made for a quiet and relaxing evening. It ended up being a great date night!
