Opening R Wine Bar & Kitchen in 2018, and Vespa Catering and Brix Wine Bar in 2022, they have created a culture of hospitality for guests who feel like family. Riccardo was born in Florence, Italy and moved to Boston when he was 5-years-old. He stayed in the Boston area for college and attended Tufts University. Marybeth, born and raised in Sioux Falls, SD, moved to Boston to be a nanny and went to Somerville School of Nursing. The two met in Medford, MA, dated and became engaged in Oak Bluffs on Martha’s Vineyard in 1996. Relocating to Sioux Falls, SD in 1999, Riccardo and Marybeth have developed a reputation for making people feel welcome with their three boys, Dante, Berent, and Jaxon. Together with their hand-picked team, Riccardo and Marybeth bring the best parts of hospitality to life in their restaurants, for both their staff and guests. Beautiful restaurant, evening dining with view of Falls Park holiday lights was spectacular. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff and our waiter provided excellent service, and he was very attentive. I felt the prices were a bit steep ~$130 for one person for steak and a salad, 2 wine and a dessert. The chairs in the middle tables are not padded or cushioned and I couldn't get comfortable, they had the feel of an outdoor cafe. They asked to take my coat, which was great, however it was stored down by the entrance door and was freezing when I went to put it on to leave. Overall, a great experience, a couple of things need attention.
