The atmosphere was excellent and we really enjoyed both the food and the service.

I don’t understand this place. They nail every aspect of the experience. The atmosphere is great. The staff is excellent (Jim waited on us and gave me an amazing recommendation I never would have tried), the craft cocktails are better than anything you’ll find in a big city and then there is the food. The food is classic, it’s made from scratch and is the best around. My wife and I go out for date night every week. Nothing between the Quad Cities to Mount Carrol can stand up to the quality of the food. It’s in a class of its own.

This restaurant is one of our favorites in Galena for authentic Italian food.

Just outside of Galena sits this remarkable Inn overlooking the Mississippi. We made it our last stop on a 4 day swing through Dubuque, Madison, Galena and back home. A perfect place to have a last dinner of the trip. One of the highlights was having a great conversation with a gentleman who came over and introduced himself as Slobo and not the owner of the Inn, just Slobo. These are the things that differentiate great places, the little human touches. Thanks for a great evening, conversation and we hope to make it back some time.
