Marisi never disappoints. I consider it one of the top restaurants in San Diego. The focaccia alone is worth going to eat. The service and ambiance is stellar for a romantic dinner or a friend’s get together. Their staff is friendly with impeccable service. It feels formal, but comfortable, not fussy. The food is amazing. Everyone in or party loved their choices. Hand made pastas are standouts. My Gnocchi with short rib (yes a lactose sensitivity replacement) was incredible. The waiter called them pillows from heaven…..he’s not exaggerating. The squash blossom is very special. Desserts over the top. Definitely worth the high cost, but wish they had a happy hour with more affordable options so we could enjoy more often. Ciao
