The food was innovative and interesting. The Squash Blossom was excellent. My trout was not as fresh as it should have been, but the tomato butter sauce was very good. The rice pilaf was good, but had to be sent back to heat it up. The roasted eggplant did nothing to enhance the dish. My wife's Summer Matanza was very good, but I don't understand the Collard Greens. They were boring with vinegar and no bacon or onion to speak of. I think the chef is trying too hard to push the envelope.

M'tuccis is our neighborhood spot. We love having this fun, vibrant restaurant withing walking distance. The food and drinks are always solid. We always bring out of towners here when they are tired of green chile and need something a little more familiar. And our guests always comment on the delicious food and the fun ambiance.

It is now in a smaller venue just about 200 feet south of the original large building. Covid, covid covid!! But there are two outdoor patios (one with a ping-pong table) and an indoor area. Seating is the bare minimum so bring a cushion if you have hip issues. Our food was very fresh. My husband said it was one of the best Cuban sandwiches he had ever eaten, and my pork tenderloin/apple/white cheddar salad was very mild and delicious. We had the carrot cake for dessert, and it was terrific - not too much sugar and a very light flavor.
