We ordered several courses and appetisers all of which were beautifully visually displayed. The flavours were outstanding and the non-pretentious Fleetwood Mac playing in the background made us feel comfortable in our cycling formals. Our server was the perfect blend of friendly without being pretentious. Our only complaint is we ordered the chocolate dessert And when it came out, it was actually a once again beautifully visually displayed paint mark of chocolate sauce with berries and no actual chocolate except for a thin biscuit which might normally decorate a cake.It was literally 2 mm x 6“ x 1“. It had the texture of pressed breadcrumbs. The menu said that there were three kinds of chocolate but we could only see this one stick of chocolate. After waiting almost half an hour for the dessert to arrive we were very disappointed that we paid so much for what look like And Andy Warhol expression of dessert. While we were looking for the missing chocolate the Cook came out with a tiny bowl full of broken brownie that tasted about as good as the one bite brownies you can buy in the grocery store. He said “oh sorry I forgot part of your dessert. Not sure what was going on with the kitchen and it put a bit of a damper on the end of our evening. Go for a delicious meal with great service and no pressure to be formal, but don’t order the dessert.

Everything was perfect. We had starters, mains, and desserts and it was all amazing. We will dream about those duck spring rolls for years to come. Our waitress was incredible too, so polite, kind, and helpful. We wish we could return soon but we live 5000 miles away!

We had a delicious meal out on the patio. The food was excellent and the drinks were great.
