Very enjoyable relaxing evening with excellent food - small number of tables leads to good personal service and a feeling of ‘no rush’

Another great meal at the Tartan Fox - fantastic and relaxed ambiance in a characteristic 400 year old pub. Service is faultless and the food innovative. Great to see real ale available at a reasonable price.

This was our 4th meal at the Longstore. Each time the food has been excellent, with good service and a nice environment in which to enjoy the meal.

Great overall experience, despite service being slow. You feel like you’re in your favorite neighborhood restaurant/bar and keep looking around for your friends and neighbors

Love the vibe of the place. The decor and the atmosphere was very calm and relaxing! Love love loved the music! The service was fabulous too. I only had the apple and cinnamon porridge so did my daughter… I have to say I was expecting some homemade offering.. creamy, tasty and tbh something a bit special. When it came to the table we saw it was a commercially produced tub of flavoured porridge! Not even disguised as a quality breakfast item. It was dry and lumpy and tasted exactly how you’d expect, nasty and artificial. My husband had the cooked breakfast and although he was a bit disappointed about the size of the posh sausage (more of a small sausage pate than a sausage). He enjoyed it. We haven’t eaten here before but with some tweaks re the food experience would make this place great!
