Our first meal last week was delicious, alas the Sunday roast (early evening) was disappointing. The roast spuds and yorkshires had been sitting around too long.

Overall it was very good, as usual! We had the wonky raspberry cocktail £10, it tasted of raspberries but had two wedges of orange served in a highball glass. Just seemed a lot for what it was. There was an hour wait for food and when served told there was an issue in the kitchen. Just would have been nice to have been told earlier, maybe with a drink thrown in or cauliflower cheese on the house, something. We will go again as we do enjoy the place, and you can’t fault the smiles, hospitality and personality at the bar. ;-)

A very enjoyable dinner last evening. Myself and another couple of ‘old blokes’ very much enjoyed the Hospitality, food and beers. We had a ‘meat’ sharing board, followed by two of us having a ‘Burger and Chips’, which was un fussy, very tasty and quality beef for sure. My other mate having the Fish Pie, which he said delicious also. Some great ‘real Ales’ on, as usual, and the service from the young Lady, serving us and happy with our ‘banter’, followed by the Chap that took over a little later. Both very friendly and professional. Thanks for another great dinner, and so good to have you as ‘our local’. Ken Westmoor Park.

Our first visit to The View at the Dome and we were absolutely delighted with the whole experience The view from the bar and restaurant is incredible, overlooking the Plymouth Sound, across to Mount Edgcombe and the Rame Peninsula, it’s has to be one of the best locations for a restaurant in the city The food and service was superb, a small, yet varied menu, well balanced for all dietary tastes and requirements. The servings were very generous indeed, and beautifully presented. The team were attentive and professional as well as welcoming and friendly, we wish we had longer to enjoy the view however this was a pre-show dinner before an evening at the theatre which is only a couple of minutes by car from the restaurant
