Plush high-backed semicircular banquettes surround our dining room and offer comfortable and private seating. The cuisine has a light, exotic feel with an emphasis on Pacific Rim specialties, from Chilean Sea Bass baked in Banana Leaves or Kahlua-Barbecued Pork Chops to all sorts of tasty tapas, salads, wood-fired pizzas, and desserts. The Coral Seas Lounge, a hip mid-century style bar is lined with sexy black leather bar-stools and is reminiscent of the upbeat lounges of old Palm Springs. It wraps around the dining room and leads outside to a lush, tropical, 2000 square foot dining patio where a variety of specialty cocktails and old-school favorites are mixed - an ideal place where friends gather and martinis are sipped under the starlit desert sky.

Our servers were absolutely wonderful! Always there when we wanted something, but respectful of our conversation. They never rushed us or “hovered”. The poke, and the “shaking beef” salad were excellent. Couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend a hot afternoon.

I’ve eaten at 849 many times and have never been disappointed. For lunch I had the steelhead salade nicoise and it was excellent! It had plenty of protein, blanched green beans, hard boiled egg, a spring mix and new potatoes with a light and refreshing dressing. I would order it again.

Just a really nice evening dining experience for our party of four. Everything was good; the complimentary valet parking, the decor and ambiance of both the bar and the dining room, the friendly welcome, the competent wait staff, the cocktails, and the food. We had heard that the dining room could be too loud but the noise level was quite low when we were there. Fairly expensive but good value for this quality of dining. Highly recommended.

We had the most amazing dinner. The steaks were cooked to perfection. Salads and appetizers were delicious. But the service was the absolute best. We come here often and service is sometimes not that great but Patron and Josh are simply the best at what they do. I hope you put the other bar table back in so there is more available bar seating because we always want them to take care of us ! Thank you so much Patron and Josh for making our night out perfect !

Spencer's is always reliably good and staff seems to care about your experience. I learned recently about their "shrimp cocktail" and have had it twice recently. HIGHLY recommended as a starter or main dish. Four of the biggest shrimp I've ever seen. Almost like a small lobster tail each. Very fresh, tastes like the ocean. Kudos since we are in the desert! I've never been disappointed at Spencers and a big plus off season when the crowds are gone!
