I have had take out from Roots several times; however, this was my first time dining it. Let me say, the experience was amazing! As others have noted, the dining area is relatively small so I would recommend making reservations. I will start by saying if you are fortunate enough to have Kenan as your server, you are definitely in for an experience. He took the dining experience to a different level. Every recommendation was well thought out and matched our individual dining needs. The food, as you would expect, was top tier. The deviled eggs were the hit of the night along with the orange juice cake. Also, the Uncle Nearest Old Fashioned and Urban Smoke cocktails were over the top. I highly recommend stopping by if you get the chance. Also, it was a random Wednesday night, but we had the chance to meet Tiffany, which was a highlight of a birthday dinner. She was as bright and enjoyable as you would imagine. Make a reservation and get over there!

My date and I were eager to experience Al Biernat's North Dallas. She was looking for are to the Halibut and I was looking forward to the salmon. We were pleased to meet our server, Edwin... We had heard he was one of the best. Edwin did not disappoint. James and Marty came by and checked with us, in addition to Edwin and another server. Forgot her name but she was stellar. Our water was never empty and we did not have to wait long for anything. Edwin and the staff helped us find the sauce we were seeking... Whole grain mustard. My date was impressed with the Halibut, as she expected. Edwin suggested the sea bass over the salmon and it was outstanding. The unexpected star of the dinner, was the creamed corn. It is flavorful and delicious. We will definitely be back. Drink suggestions... Black cherry lemon drop and barrel aged old fashioned. A quality 5 star trip all around.

Victoria was a great server. Restaurant was very busy and practically full as our reservation was at 7:30. Reservation was made the day before very easily through OpenTable and the seamless process was great. With 3 in our party you are almost assuredly going to have a table in the back near the kitchen and it was quite loud. I wonder with the open rafters in the back if additional sound dampening panels could be installed to help dampen the noise on busy evenings. They are making these sound dampening panels quite attractive and they can be color coordinated with your decour. Mike make a great improvement to a great ambient loud experience.

Allison waited on us and she was very pleasant and has a great smile. She was also very attentive, even though she was pretty busy. We got our food really quickly. We ordered what we did the last time we were there and it was just as good. The French chicken and the lobster roll. It’s always so busy, we have to make our reservation about a week ahead of time to get in. We like going at 6:30 PM. It seems very popular, especially with the young people.
