In my opinion Jose Andres' restaurants are DC's best! My friends from California and I ate at Jaleo last night, and they raved about it. The food was delicious, and the service was exceptional. If you cannot get a reservation for Jaleo, try all the other Jose Andres' restaurants in the Penn Quarter area; all of them are fabulous.

Food is wonderful. Waiter and servers were excellent. The lack of a fifth star on service has to do with, possibly the website, possibly the front desk. Although there was no distinction when I initially made the reservation, I wrote in the comments that we wanted an outdoor table. They told me I had requested an indoor table and the only area that was open then was for "parties." I have reserved previously and there was a place to indicate where you wanted to sit. This time there was no opportunity to do that, but I do expect them to read the notes.

We celebrated our anniversary at Rumi's Kitchen and couldn't have asked for a better experience. The waiter was very skilled and attentive, the food was delicious and beautifully prepared and they included several items gratis including an opening salad with cheese and a delicious baklava and ice cream dessert in celebration of our anniversary. We split the rack of lamb and it was delicious and perfectly prepared. We will definitely return and will bring friends.
