Restaurants near Port of Seattle

The service and food were both fabulous, as usual. The Sicilian blood orange salad was absolutely lovely, as were our pasta dishes. Dessert was decadent, and accompanied our espresso martinis wonderfully. The only thing I wish had been different was the volume of the table next to us. It’s normal to hear an overall buzz of background noise, but one person at their table thought everyone around him needed to hear every word he was saying and it was just obnoxious. Why is it always the most dim-witted, uncouth person who decides to make themselves the loudest? It wasn’t even entertaining to overhear.

We ordered across the menu from starters to cocktails to dessert and everything we tried was prepared with attention to the flavors and textures of the ingredients. The chimichurri is excellent. The hush puppies were perfectly crisped on the outside and moist and seasoned on the inside. You’ll want a straw for the creamy broth in the adobo clams. Love the decor and the atmosphere is festive without being frenetic - probably because the front of the house folks are efficient and friendly - they know what they’re doing! All around a new favorite place where I’ll bring friends and visitors to Seattle as often as I can.

If you have a show @ the Paramount, go eat here; so close/walking distance…feels warm and cozy and huge servings! Very good desserts too
