Great place, great staff, great drinks, and even better food. The location is very convenient just a few blocks from the river. The setting was fantastic and we were seated immediately (made reservations about 3 days ahead). I had a bone marrow old fashioned… couldn’t really place the bone marrow, but as far as old fashioneds go, it was good enough for me to have two! The chef prefers for all of the food to be ordered at the same time, but our waitress divided it up into 3 distinct courses for us. First, raw oysters and grilled octopus. The oysters were awesome and the octopus was wonderful (best dish of the night). The veggies that came with the octopus were exceptional, also. Great flavor combination! Second, whipped ricotta toast and strawberry salad. The toast was amazing… crisp toast and smooth ricotta topping with hot honey! My wife said the strawberry salad was the best salad she ever had! Third, I had the pork chop and my wife had the chicken schnitzel. Both were beyond fantastic! Dessert was the chocolate torte a la mode. Also amazing! We recommend this restaurant to anyone in Savannah. It rivals all the others out there!

Our server Becky was outstanding--kind, professional, knowledgeable while being totally chill. Her recommendations were on point. This is some of the most outstanding food and service we've had in our 2 decades visiting Savannah. The food was amazing and the vibe was completely relaxed and unpretentious. We look forward to returning

Alligator Soul was the perfect restaurant to kick off our trip to Savannah. My mom and I had Judd as our waiter and he was so knowledgeable about the menu, fun to talk to, and kind. He was very aware of my gluten allergy and made sure everything I ordered was ok. He even brought me 2 gluten free banana muffins. The food was outstanding and the flavors were out of this world. Be sure to bring sweatpants to change into after you have the peanut butter pie. That was incredible. We had the candied alligator bites (thanks to Judd making for making it gluten friendly) the fish special and the lamb. Thank you Judd and AS for such a fun and delicious evening!

Our waitress was delightful and the food delicious. My husband enjoyed the scallops while I dined on the tiny purses. The whipped ricotta was a great starter and the cheesecake capped off the meal. We enjoyed the meal so much we went to brunch the next morning at their park location.
