The chef is a Beautiful Soul. I don’t know her personally, but her energy says all that’s needs to be said. She puts love into her food. The food quality, taste and presentation is perfection. My only wish is that she adds more days to her restaurant roster. Will continue to support.

The staff was friendly and attentive as we were attending their 11th anniversary celebration and our group was performing as entertainment plus my friends and I hadn’t gone out together since last year so it was fun and festive. The food we shared was delicious

Absolutely phenomenal!! Our group tried nearly everything on the dinner and cocktail menus and every one of the desserts -- we loved all of them, delicious, beautiful presentation and service

We had a great dinner at Calabash on Valdez St in Oakland. We were greeted by King David who made us feel right at home and ensured that we received great service! The restaurant has a soulful vibe with Caribbean music playing in the background. The food was delicious, very flavorful and not overly spicy as some Caribbean restaurants can be. We started with beef patties and a beautiful salad. We completed our meal with jerk chicken wings in a divine wet sauce with peas and rice. And you must have the rum punch, made with three kinds of punch! We will definitely be back!

The whole experience was a vibe. Worst part of dinner was parking.
