- SShereeToronto / Ontario •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoWe had never heard of Muni Robata before the weekend we went. We randomly Googled best authentic Japanese food and it showed up. Apparently they are award-winning and truly authentic so we took a chance and went. Upon arriving I recalled there used to be another Japanese restaurant in that location many years ago and they were quite good. I hoped the same for Muni Robata. We were so pleasantly surprised. The place was empty when we arrived and I was hoping it was just because we were early. It filled up within the hour. The food was SO good. We ordered the hamachi appetizer, the salmon with the crispy nori appetizer, the unagi food gras maki, the big shrimp/prawn main dish, crab dumplings and something else (cannot recall and don’t remember the menu items’ official names). All were phenomenal!! And this was shortly after coming back from a holiday in Croatia where the seafood was out outstanding. Muni Robata feels like a little secret. Slightly tucked away from any main strip. In a nondescript part of downtown. For a restaurant with such delicious fresh food, I would have thought it would be in a different location!More infoMuni RobataPrice: Expensive• Japanese• Queen West•4.6
