In the past, what is now known as Safety Harbor was a land of water oak trees. Before Tampa Bay became America’s number one beach destination, the Timucua and the Tocobaga tribes settled here, fostering rich cultures. These early inhabitants gathered under massive oaks after hunting, fishing, and farming, sharing meals and stories. Today, the 500-year-old Baranoff Oak stands near our restaurant. Our family settled in Florida during the Great Depression, cherishing the local waters and land's bounty.
