Restaurants near Ocean View Golf Course

I made a reservation in advance for a party of five to celebrate an early Father’s Day. Upon arrival, I was greeted warmly by the hostess, which was a great start to the evening. I arrived about 15 minutes early, and although my party had not yet arrived, the initial hospitality was excellent and appreciated. Unfortunately, the service declined after we were seated. We were not approached by a server for quite some time, and I had to ask someone if we could at least be served water while we waited. Our assigned waitress eventually came to the table but did not return with the card tokens needed to begin table service. My father ended up having to flag someone down just to get the attention of another staff member. We were then informed that our waitress had gone on break, and we did not see her again for the remainder of the evening. Once we received our card tokens from another waiter, the meat service finally began. While the restaurant was understandably busy, the delays continued—especially when it came to dessert. We had to wait a considerable amount of time just to receive the dessert menu, and again after placing the order. This was a special evening meant to celebrate Father’s Day, and while there were some positive aspects, the inconsistency in service affected the overall experience. I hope this feedback helps improve the service flow for future guests.

Had dinner with my wife on a date night. We were both very pleased with our meals and our wine. Her pesto tortellini with shrimp was exactly what she was craving and my harissa tuna was amazing. The restaurant presents very well also with nice finishes and ambience. The service was good, not great, and there could have been better preparation in knowing what they were out of and presenting the daily specials without having to be asked about them. But they were nice enough, and we didn’t lack for anything so overall I was pleased with the service. The menu is a bit small, particularly on sides that they offer with entrees. They were out of one of their sides, which was disappointing, but it happens. Overall, I’d be happy to return here next time I’m in Norfolk, and would recommend it to anyone.

Ever since our first visit, the food and service have been outstanding! We have brought family and friends many times and everyone agrees it was a great find. Do yourself a favor and check out this place. You won't be disappointed.
