Restaurants near Newport Rose Cottage

While visiting Newport for the first time and doing the usual “Shop till you Drop”, a shop owner suggested Jo’s American Bistro for dinner. Loved it from the moment we arrived. Everyone pleasant and helpful. Our waitress was great. She knew if we needed attention, but also knew when we didn’t. Food selection was pretty much selected before we got there, Shop owner suggested a couple of dishes and they were spot on great. If and when we return to Newport, it’s going to include a dinner at Jo’s.

Food was great and the staff was exceptional at making sure we were in a comfortable seating situation.

Jessica our server was outstanding. We asked for suggestions and followed her lead. We are so happy we did. Oysters were best we’ve ever had, calamari tender and lightly fried. Steak amazing and clam chowder and lobster bisque perfect. If you want a memorable meal and amazing food choose 22 Bowens. Jessica made this better than we could imagine!!

We reserved a table on open table. I had fish and chips. The fish was perfectly lightly breaded and the fries were fresh. My husband had a meal that he already knows he will return for. It was a cod basically with sausage, kale and beans. Delish. Both delicious. Good portions too.
