Walk-in's always welcome! Screen Door is a restaurant that presents itself as a love letter to the American South and the revival of regional cooking. Each day, the restaurant receives natural, local organic meats and produce from nearby vendors. The inclusion of regional Pacific Northwest ingredients into a menu of dishes developed in the south has created a unique flavor profile in Screen Door's menu. Many of Screen Doors dishes draw their inspiration from Louisiana and the Cajun cooking that's found there. These include our world-famous Fried Chicken, Lowcountry shrimp and grits, smoked andouille chicken gumbo and fried okra. Other items, like the house-smoked beef brisket and braised pork shoulder, come straight from the state of Texas. The rest of the South is well represented as well with a Carolina pulled pork sandwich, chicken and waffles, crispy fried oysters and a pimiento cheese & sausage biscuit sandwich with a fried egg and cheddar grits.

Oma's Hideaway is a vibrant, maximalist restaurant inspired by the life and spirit of Chef Thomas Pisha Duffly's grandmother, Kiong Tien “Tina” Vandenberg. Her ability to adapt, to make the most out of limited resources, and to stay creative while projecting warmth and brightness is the guiding force behind Oma’s Hideaway.Born during the pandemic as a pop-up in the Gado Gado parking lot, Oma’s became a permanent beacon of iridescent light in Portland’s Richmond neighborhood in 2021. The menu draws from Tina’s life story, taking influence from the craveable, soul-satisfying hawker food of Singapore and Malaysia and “turning up the volume” with exaggerated yet balanced flavors in Chef Tom’s signature style. Oma’s serves dinner accompanied by a seasonal list of hand-crafted cocktails and zero-proof drinks.

We have been regulars at Nostrana for two decades because they always have great food, desserts, cocktails and an excellent wine menu with excellent service-Nostrana was our choice for our last Italian meal before going to Italy for a month (eating & drinking from Florence to Palermo) and the first Italian food we have gone out for since our return ••and everyone understands English so I don’t have to butcher Italian when asking about an item •but SE PDX doesn’t have quite the vibe of Sorrento or Cefalu😁Always great food 👍🏻

I met friends at LM and we had a great time. The ambiance is great, it does get a little noisy with patrons but it wasn’t too bad. The food as always is so delicious. So fresh! So well seasoned and tasty! My cucumber and strawberry salad was unique and yummy, and the Hangar Steak was cooked perfectly. 3 of us at the table got the same thing and all loved it. Service was excellent and friendly. My cocktail was a cucumber and yuzu and ginger beer and I loved it.

We made reservations on a weekday morning at 9am when they opened. We were promptly seated outside on the porch as we’d requested outdoor seating. We found parking easily. We started with coffee and cinnamon rolls-yum. I ordered chicken and biscuit with potatoes as the side. Really delicious fried chicken breast and well-seasoned potatoes. I chose the pork gravy but mushroom gravy was also offered. Biscuit, butter and jam were saved for later in the day. My guest ordered the Cajun scramble with potatoes and she was in heaven. Andouille sausage had just the right kick. We’re glad we went in a weekday morning—and we’re making plans to return!

Menu was really nice and our dishes were beautifully presented. Food and drinks were both very good. Music sound level was too loud for casual conversation
