- BbarbaraGoldLos Angeles •171 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoOur recent dinner at The Belmont was our first opportunity to dine there since Chef Alex Stratta took over, and all we can say is…WOW! From the moment we arrived until the end of the evening, it was an elevated dining experience. The restaurant has such a lively atmosphere with an incredible vibe—upscale without feeling stuffy. The service we received from Jeremy and Jared was absolutely top-notch. They were attentive and genuinely invested in making our evening special. We also appreciated that Stuart, the manager, stopped by our table to chat about our experience. That personal touch made an already wonderful evening even more memorable. Now, let’s talk about the food. The presentation was an A+, and the quality was an A++. We started with the Hamachi Crudo, which was incredibly fresh and bursting with flavor. It was so delicious that our server even brought over a spoon so we could savor every last drop of the amazing broth. Next - chopped salad—and while we’re not usually the type to get excited about a salad, this one completely changed our minds. The generous amount of freshly grated cheese elevated every bite and made it absolutely incredible. Our entrées were equally impressive. The Rigatoni Bolognese was cooked to perfection, rich and comforting, while the true hero of the evening was the Branzino. Perfectly cooked with unbelievably crispy skin, it was simply outstanding. The celebration ended on the sweetest note with an incredible cheesecake made by one of the servers, Salvatore, and it is a must-order dessert! And we can’t forget the Tequila Old Fashioned, which arrived inside a treasure chest filled with aromatic smoke. Presentation alone was unforgettable. We’ve already recommended the Belmont to several friends and can’t wait to return. Kudos to the talented chef and the entire kitchen team for delivering such exceptional food, and to the outstanding front-of-house staff for creating such a memorable evening.
