We had dinner on outdoor patio with fabulous and spectacular views of the Seattle skyline. Drinks were proper. Fish & Chips was traditional. Server was attentive. A fantastic summer evening dinner with friends.

The food was great, especially the Prime Rib, fresh made omelets, and king crab legs. Our server was wonderful, however, she was only one of two servers for the entire place, so it was hard getting her when we needed her (for drinks and the bill). The price of $55 per person was a little steep for what was offered.

The quality and taste of all food from the salad course, main course to dessert was outstanding. The flavor profiles of the braised short rib and truffle mashed potatoes was wonderful. The only reason for not giving 5 stars in this category was due to the small portion size. Perhaps this was due to it being a special priced menu for Seattle Restaurant Week, but when I make braised short ribs, a single short rib (boneless) would be around 4 ounces vs. the closer to 2 ounces that came to the table. The overall quality was so good though that my date and I were very satisfied and the amazing espresso crème brûlée filled the void.

Chef Fuji-San and his wife take you on a magical tour of Japan with seasonal fish, delicious chawanmushi and beautifully curated appetizers. As a gluten free diner, the restaurant reached out to me ahead of time to try and accommodate my allergy and also made a special chawanmushi so that I could truly enjoy the experience. This is a special dining experience and special chef family.
