Restaurants near Makahalau Pump Station

There are limited restaurants in Waimea and Forc is one of the best. Well prepared and tasty farm to table food. Nice atmosphere in the dinning room and a lively bar seen next to the dinning room. Good service and nice staff. Friendly locals. A real asset for those of us who live in the area.

We were looking forward to going to the Canoe House and it didn't disappoint. The setting is spectacular and the food, service, etc., was excellent. We had ahi poke and tempura fried string beans for appetizers, scallops and lobster for dinner and finished with chocolate mousse. A great evening!

This was our first time at this property and at Brown’s Beach House. The food, service and location were all excellent. The food was flavorful (to me, that’s not always the case at restaurants), very fresh and well presented. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Everything was very good!

In from Chicago we decided to give Merriman’s a try…..Wow, The meal was prepared by Hawai’i -renowned chef Jimmy Thomas . His expertise and artistry were evident in every bite. With a reputation for culinary innovation, the chef transformed simple farm to table ingredients into extraordinary dishes, each bursting with unique flavors and textures. The precision and creativity in what we ordered reflected the chef's mastery, making the entire dining experience feel like a rare and luxurious treat. It was a meal that not only satisfied but elevated the senses, showcasing why this chef is celebrated on the global stage. The meal was truly exceptional, as was the service. The dining room was low lit and Romantic. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We come to Hawaii a few times a year and have tried many restaurants along the Kohala coast, this was the first time we ventured out to Waimea. Worth the drive!!! It was not just a meal, but a memorable dining experience that left us completely satisfied and eager to return.

Had dinner with friends visiting from Manhattan. Melia was our server and she did a phenomenal job! Had some great healthy options like Roasted Broccoli and Salad Options. Portions were large enough to share. Mahalo Nui Loa, Patrick Toal & Jon Vagi
