Mushrooms are the heart of what we do at the Joel Palmer House. We have always endeavored to obtain seasonal and local ingredients and we use many locally produced greens, herbs, and vegetables, some of which come from our own culinary garden. We are frequently inspired by ingredients found in the cuisines of France, China, Thailand, Poland and India, so we call our cooking "freestyle." Our dishes pair well the celebrated wines of Oregon, especially Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay. Our extensive, Oregon-focused wine list has been awarded the Best of Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator. Of special note, The Joel Palmer House ranks as one of Oregon's finest historic homes and is on the National Register of Historic Places and the Oregon Historic Register. Built in 1857, the house is Dayton's oldest standing structure. When weather permits, guests can enjoy their dinner on our outdoor patio, soaking in the last rays of sunshine in the heart of Oregon Wine Country.

Our Dundee Tasting Room is open Wednesday-Monday from 11am-5pm.Well behaved children are welcome to our tasting room, we ask that they please stay in their seat during your visit. Visit us on Ribbon Ridge, where we have something for everyone!At Trisaetum Winery, we specialize in Pinot Noir, Riesling, Chardonnay and Sparkling Wines.     What a pleasant serendipitous surprise to find this bistro. Very unexpected in a town of this size. Rarely does the service surpass the food, but it may just have - and the food was excellent! We want to return many times!

    Everything exceeded our expectations! The food was delicious, even the water tasted super fresh 😅. We started off with the Pane & Olio plus the Bresaola and immediately knew we were in for a treat! The bolognese is definitely one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had at a restaurant! The ravioli just melted in our mouths and the Brasati Della Nonna was very tender pork with creamy mashed potatoes, plus some sort of reduction, that was simply amazing 🤩. Oh and to top it off, we had an unforgettable lemon berry mascarpone cake! Enough said. Definitely worth every penny!

    The staff were friendly and helpful. We were there during the lunch menu hours on a weekday. Hard cider was a new experience. We liked the blackberry and the pomegranate flavors. The food was good, and plentiful. IF you have desert, we recommend the pecan cake with a rum and raisin sauce!
