I am a regular at this restaurant, it is a power lunch spot across from the White House. The food is also always consistently good. The customer service is normally spectacular but this time in particular it was even more elevated. Thank you for always finding a way to make our lunches memorable!

Taberna del Alabardero is my favorite "nice" restaurant in Washington, DC. It's got old world charm, a fantastic menu full of traditional and innovative choices, a broad and deep wine selection, and staff trained to deliver superlative service. Although I try other restaurants around town, this is where we return to mark special occasions or fete valued guests. Out latest trip was no exception. It was a gorgeous day, so we sat outside. Unlike some restaurants who forget the guests on the patio, our waiter was fast, professional, and pleasant. My guest and I began with a crisp, refreshing champagne. Our opening course was rich, delicious gazpacho, and then we shared an absolutely exemplary paella. For dessert, we opted for a traditional creme and a novel passionfruit mousse. Both were absolutely spot on, and the perfect ends to our visit. We were only saddened by our visit eventually needing to end. Already looking forward to a birthday dinner in two weeks!
