Upon first glance, the restaurant looks like a typical “breakfast area” in a hotel, but the menu was creative and the food was delicious. They were training a new waitress but the service was fine. As a group we descended on the restaurant after a long day on the Rocky Mountaineer. We (my husband and I) made reservations to assure a limited wait. Since we were fed well on the train and we would have an early day, we both chose lighter fare. I had the soup of the day which came with a biscuit (not cookie, a savory Southern biscuit) and a tomato and strawberry “salad” with a tomato sorbet scoop in the middle. Tasty heirloom tomatoes and sweet strawberries with a savory/sweet sorbet. Truly delicious. If we had been in the mood, it was Margarita Monday- so $2 CA off any margarita.

Moxies is always a great experience. For the many times we went for dinner, the food is always phenomenally good Our last visit and the experience we’ve had simply underlines the previous words I wrote.

Its so nice to have a place that has delight food, excellent service and great happy hour, and all this and I can bring my dog. Thanks for a great Mothers day dinner.

Liberty was amazing. Super funny and attentive. She was our second server of the night. I can’t remember our first servers name, she was really great too. 2 of the nicest servers I’ve ever had. Sometimes as a non drinker I experience a lower level of service ( which I understand) but that was not the case here. I was offered fun mocktails that were delicious, and we felt special and taken care all the way through. Food was great too! Will definitely return for hockey and fights!!!

Best food in Sun Peaks! This is our go to when we have friends in town, birthdays, or just feel like Japanese. Highly recommended!
