- MMargaretvipSan Francisco Bay Area •32 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoThe Bazaar was fantastic! Dude and I decided to have the Classic Tasting menu so that we wouldn’t be overwhelmed by all the tantalizing options. At $165 pp it’s a significant amount of food. The stand out dishes for us were: - Neptune’s pillows, spicy tuna on a puffed wanton filled with sesame rocoto - Not your everyday caprese, the pesto served with this dish is phenomenal - Tortilla de patatas, imagine the most creamy potato soup then add carmalized onion and the most perfectly slightly poached egg, rich but not too rich - Spanish octopus, perfectly cooked and the chorizo really popped the flavor We opted to have the $90 pp wine pairing, and it was totally worth it. Jeff, the sommelier, was wonderful and all the pairings added another element to the dishes. (Love you Jeff!) Garrett was our server, and was an absolute delight. Truly a great evening, highly recommend going to Bazaar.More infoThe Bazaar by José Andrés - DCPrice: Very Expensive• Spanish• Penn Quarter•4.7

- JJesseWashington, D.C. Area •9 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWhat a outstanding meal! Did the tasting menu for two and it did not disappoint. At first, the dish sizes were great and appropriate. At first bite, definitely left you wanting more but then the dishes kept coming and it wasn’t even the main dishes yet! Once the hearty dishes arrived, we loved it but had to save room for dessert (so packed it away). Very energetic place (at least when we were there), so if you are looking for a more quiet setting may seek elsewhere but we enjoyed it. Great place for a date night especially those who enjoy fusion cuisines.More infoChina ChilcanoPrice: Expensive• Peruvian• Penn Quarter•4.6
- SSharonGreater Boston •14 reviews5.0Dined on Sep 30, 2024If you love tapas you can’t go wrong at Jaleo! There’s a huge range of hot, cold, meat, cheese, seafood, veggies, etc. The traditional shrimp & garlic is loaded with sweet (!) garlic slices, the octopus was grilled and tender, the gazpacho is silky (with crunchy “bread fingers”), the peas were delicious. We shared about 10 plates, and our waitress, Sylvia, was attentive but not hovering. It’s our 3rd visit and we’ve enjoyed every meal we’ve had. Last year we had the chef’s tasting dinner and it’s a “must-do” - at least once!More infoJaleo - DCPrice: Expensive• Spanish• Penn Quarter•4.7

This was a retirement luncheon that I had with my wife and daughter and my supervisor joined us. The experience was absolutely fantastic.More infoThe Capital Grille - Washington DCPrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Capitol Hill•4.8
