- DDonaldSacramento / Sacramento Valley •2 reviews5.0Dined on Jul 5, 2025Our first time visiting Enchanted Forest. A birthday celebration lunch. We were greeted immediately upon entering and since we had reservations, were shown to our table with no delays. We enjoyed the service provided throughout our meal. We had the four course fondue which was delightful and delicious! We loved the forest themed ambience. It really set the mood for something unique and different. All four courses were delicious and the last three courses being fondue, were fun and enjoyable each in their own way! the Meats (chicken, beef, meatballs and shrimp) were cooked to perfection because we did the cooking! Four yummy sauces to choose from provided a medley of flavors for our palates. The cheese fondue was accompanied by a platter of vegetables and bread. So delectable! The piece de resistance was the dessert fondue! Such a cornucopia of sweet treats to ruminate over. Which one to choose for a plunge into the silky sweet dark chocolate cauldron of comfort and joy! Our bellies were content after the two hour fondue extravaganza. Yes, definitely plan to visit and enjoy the fun and adventure of of Enchanted Forest soon!More infoEnchanted Forest Dining ExperiencePrice: Moderate• European• Placerville•4.2
- CCarneyVancouver / British Columbia •1 review5.0Dined on Jul 4, 2025Really impressed with my meal at Eldo Chop House. Had a nice date night and it was the perfect environment. Large open bar space in the front looked inviting but our table was in the main dining hall. We started with the grilled octopus and nigiri bites and they were both fantastic. The king salmon was a real treat. We split a wedge salad and it was great. For our entrees we shared the filet mignon and the day boat scallops. I recommend them both. The filet was very traditional with asparagus and mashed potatoes on a fantastic semi glacé. The scallops were a playful dish in an amazing green curry sauce. The chicharrones were a really nice touch. Finished with the butter cake. I’d recommend everything and probably do the exact same order again next time. Great for dates or family dinners.More infoEldo Chop HousePrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• El Dorado Hills•4.6
- OOctavio JorgeVIPLondon •3 reviews4.0Dined on Jul 2, 2025Vacanza Romana is a very unique place. It has true pasta made right there with real italian flour, fresh ingredients and friendly service. Flavours are very good, wine list has an extensive new world (specially California) variety, not expensive at all. Proof of that is that they have some wines by the glass that other places sell by the bottle at a much higher price. Nice set up, yet not prepared for hot warm summer days. I believe it needs more isolation, double pane windows or Low-E film and an additional two or three AC units. The beauty of having the kitchen (pristine looking, meticulously clean) right in the middle of everyone makes you feel you are at a real trattoria, downside is the heat, but a workable dowside as the costumer can either pick a better time or they can just add more AC. Pomodoro Sauce, excellent. Steak, thick, well cooked in the perfect temperature. Oysters with a grapefruit campari mignonette gives it a serious yet fun twist to fresh-on-the-shell kumamoto oysters, perfect size. Ribeye Carpaccio was good, needed a bit more of the vinagrette (oil and balsamic vinegar) in the arugula and needed to be a bit more chilled as carpaccio is at its best under 45 degrees fahrenheit. Chicken Parmiggiana and the porkchop were good and vast! Al sides and garnishes were very good and right with the perfect seasoning, a bit lower on salt, however making it so healthy cause of low sodium. Only the times were a bit off... too long for wine (which by the way was good but warm), too long for dessert wine, too long for coffee. Just a matter of working their serving logistics a bit more sequenced. Would I go back? Absolutely, will do so but will call ahead to have my wine on the perfect temperature I like, the carpaccio chilled and pre-order so we don´t take longer than we should (large family, three little kids) as other than dinner and drinks, restaurants want (better said need) table rotation and ticket increase as part of their model. Thumbs up for this gem!More infoVacanza RomanaPrice: Moderate• Italian• El Dorado Hills•4.5
