Since the middle ages the elegant porticos of Bologna, Italy have a meeting place for the public as well as a place for business. Paolo Pedrinazzi (who is from Bologna) and Kat Escamilla, owners of the new Portico trattoria , bring this experience to Sebastopol. They even have monthly Regional dinner parties with live jazz.The setting includes an Italian fountain on their cozy patio. Portico offers light table service and counter ordering.     Lovely table in their garden patio with absolutely delicious appetizers (on a happy hour menu) and pastas. The Gnocchi were light pillows in a very tasty ragu and the linguine with fresh clams was the best! And don’t miss the Cheesecake.

    It was fabulous! The 6 items we ordered and shared were all unique and delicious. The service was unobtrusive and excellent. The booth looked onto the patio so plenty of light. We had a wonderful experience overall. I highly recommend this place.

    Out Mothers Day dinner at Fern Bar was perfect! From cocktails, food and service, everything was a 10! Our server, Issac was wonderful; kind, attentive and fully answered all of our questions about dishes. All of the staff were friendly and accommodating. We will be back!

    The food was amazing—flavorful, fresh, and definitely worth the visit. Service was just okay; the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed and possibly understaffed, but they were still friendly. Overall, a great spot to discover and one I’d happily return to for the food alone.
