Love the service staff - happy and kind! Our food was tasty and enjoyable. We had a lovely experience.

Akres on the Pier is a new restaurant, and like any new restaurant, there are "kinks" to be worked out. The #1 thing that stood out to us was the timing of the food. My friend ordered the bouillabaisse, and it sat waiting to be delivered for quite a while. My food was not ready yet and presumably they wanted to deliver it together. The bouillabaisse was cold when delivered. Also, for the price there should have been some type of bread served with it. I had the Chicken Souvlaki which was very good. From where we sat, we had a direct view of the kitchen, and it looked like many already prepared dishes sat too long waiting to be picked up. Better communication in the kitchen is needed so the food can be coordinated. Also, there is no wine/beer list only a cocktail menu which for Astoria is a "No No." Astoria is a beer-drinking town. I will definitely go back, but I will give it a little time. The ambience is very nice, and this could be a 5-star restaurant.

We've come to love dining here every time we vacation at Cannon Beach, but this time was truly the most exceptional experience from how warmly we were greeted upon arrival to the outstanding quality of our meals. We'll continue to return here every year!

The manager went over and above to get us a table and we really appreciated it!

Brunch on 6/21 after our friends wedding. A very different experience than the rehearsal dinner. Our server was incredible. They were super short staffed and she busted her butt to meet everyone’s needs.
