Restaurants near Franklin Park

We’ve been going to Rick’s Cafe & Boatyard for 10 years, but missed their 30-year celebration Labor Day weekend 2024. In our opinion, this is the best place in the state of Indiana for dining on a first class steak and seafood meal while overlooking the lake and sunset. The high quality Beef Filet had an exceptional flavor all its own, and adding the “Rico Style” (lump crab and asparagus) was memorable and so fantastic. My wife had the Seafood feast (Lobster, Salmon, Shrimp & Scallops) and once again it was memorable for the best-ever flavors. Our waitress Hanna made us feel like one of the family; she was so friendly and fun! Every review should have an “opportunity” to improve upon, but for this visit the only thing we could think of was the occasional gnat that was drawn to our Reisling, so maybe Rick could employ some of those electronic bug repellent devices

I took a friend for the first time and last minute reservation so we ate on the patio. The waitress was super sweet even got someone to change the tv to the live coverage of the game.

Great place! Easy to get to and not your typical Mexican restaurant.

We have been coming to Akira for 20 plus years and have lived it every time. Thank you for all you do for our community!

Went during the Valentines Day service. it was excellent. Everyone did a great job and the food was delicious.
